Khushboo and Vishal, Heritage Retreat, Jaipur
With a wedding at a beautiful heritage property in Jaipur, Vishal and Khushboo ensured that the revelries matched the grandeur of the venue.
When they first met through a mutual friend, little did Vishal and Khushboo know that one day they would wed. Years later, they exchanged vows at the Heritage Retreat, Jaipur. WeddingSutra Favorite Elite Wedding Planner designed and executed the memorable affair, while their candid moments were captured by WeddingSutra Favourite Seventy by Two.
How We Met
Vishal met Khusboo for the first time through a mutual friend at Kora Kendra Navratri in 2013. After around seven months, they started playing badminton together. The conversations increased, and eventually Vishal expressed his feelings to her. However, she rejected him. About a month or two later, he called her up from his office, and they started talking again. After two months of talking, he asked her out again, and she said ‘Yes’ – this time in May 2014. They dated for around two years and then informed their respective families. Vishal’s family loved her, and all went smoothly.
Sujay of Elite Wedding Planner is Vishal’s school friend. He helped the couple finalize Rajasthan for the destination wedding. Vishal and Khushboo liked Goa too, but as the budgets for both the places – Rajasthan and Goa – were the same, they opted for a royal vibe. While they chose the luxurious villas and rooms of Indana Palace Jaipur, for the guests, five more hotels were booked for the functions including Rajasthali Resort for the Sangeet, Le Meridien for the Mehndi, Pool Party and Rajasthani Mela; and finally, Heritage Retreat, Jaipur, for the wedding.
The mehndi function was a poolside affair that took place at Le Meridien, Jaipur. Bright colors formed the decor palette for this function. Floral blooms and decorative elements further enhanced the pop vibe.
The fun pool party with the DJ playing some foot-tapping tunes just added a fun vibe to the party. Because all functions were so bright, the couple went for a vintage picnic themed party.
The entire stage and design were customized as per the couple’s requirement. They created a cage that matched the entire structure. There was no particular theme for this function– just elegant, chic decor.
There was a royal theme planned for the wedding ceremony where temple bells were used as a decor highlight. Vishal loves Radha Krishna, so the decor included some religious elements. The mandap was similar to the actual domes at the venue to maintain the uniformity. The team didn’t want to use more flowers and took a new approach of using elements and structures to give it a more classy and royal look. Khushboo’s bridal entry to the beautiful tunes of ‘Din Shagna Da’ song was the magical highlight of the wedding.
Advice for Couples
“If you’re planning a destination wedding, look for at least five vendors at each stage and check out their work instead of just going by their brand or name. Do not rush into things. Grooms have to play a key role in the marriage. They should be calm and patient to maintain the balance. Remember, make your bride feel special always for a happy married life.”
