How They Met

Mahak shares, “We met at a mutual friend’s wedding. I was looking for another friend and knocked on the wrong door, which happened to be his door and we have been talking ever since! It just shows that sometimes the wrong doors take you to the right places. We were friends for the longest but always intended to make it a relationship. After one and a half years of friendship, the relationship took its natural course and we started dating and now here we are. It still feels very much like a friendship and who wouldn’t want to date their best friend?”

Wedding Venue

While their other events were hosted at Waterstones Hotel, the couple decided to bring their celebration to an end in a stylish manner at The Leela Mumbai where they were awed by the beauty of the venue. Mahak shares, “We found The Leela Mumbai to be an exquisite property from the first glance itself. Right from its landscapes gardens, waterfalls, and fountains to its welcoming aura – everything just fit together perfectly! And, even though it’s in Mumbai we felt as though we were transported to a peaceful space the minute we stepped foot into it. All in all, it ticked every box in our list and made our reception an unforgettable one.”

Mahak shares, “Team Krayonz Entertainment really helped streamline all the functions. Each function had a unique theme and stood out on its own. All of the key family members had a shadow allocated to help out throughout the wedding for all the last-minute needs. They were extremely helpful with the guests and helped collaborate with all the vendors. They made our dreams a reality and we could not have done it without them!”

Haldi
Mahak shares, “We like to include a fun element in everything to do and so we tried to include the fun quirks we had in the functions. The haldi ceremony entryway was full of funny haldi puns to welcome the guests and the dress code was yellow for the guests. Plus, we also had a super-fun floral shower where our friends threw marigold petals at us!”

Wedding
Hosted by the pool under the bright sunshine, the wedding was a breezy one. As the bride entered under the phoolon ki chadar which was also held up by her gal pals, both, Mahak and Rohit exuded joy! Laden with pink and white blooms, the gold and pastel-hued mandap looked striking against the light blue sky in the month of March. Mahak shares, “The wedding was completely pastel and keeping the dress code in mind, everyone turned up in pastel hues which made everything look aesthetically beautiful. Plus, the wedding was hosted during the early evening so the soft light made the colors look lovely.”

Advice For Couples
