Wedding Planning
Planning a destination wedding on such a grand scale is not an easy feat. And, to ensure that all of their guests enjoyed the best of hospitality and went home with a surreal experience, Mehzabeen and Ammar chose Perfexion Events to plan their wedding. Ashish Bohra from Perfexion Events shares, “Mehzabeen and Ammar had before the celebrations hosted an intimate nikkah in their farmhouse at Lonavala. However, the couple wanted to celebrate their love in a way that made a statement and hence, they turned their gazes towards Jaipur.

Overall, the duo was quite sure about what they wanted and briefed us and the decor team in a detailed manner. Mehzabeen and Ammar wanted the celebrations to be personalized and their common hobby of traveling to different countries and their love for architecture was reflected in every function especially curated for them. They even wanted their guests to experience the Luncheonette of the Royals along with the vibrant vibes of Rajasthan. The final event was a nikkah which was as dreamy as it gets! The Bar menu for each function was specially curated with customized names given to each drink be it shooters, cocktails or mocktails.”

Designing each of these events The A-Cube Project keenly understood the couple’s tastes, their back story and their needs to create a series of memorable events. Right from the whimsical architecture of Gaudi to incorporating the local flavors of Rajasthan, the design story took the guests on an immersive journey where, each day, they experienced something new.

Photographing the couple as they celebrated and put their most stylish foot forward was Epic Stories. Be it exuberant candid shots to stylised portrait shots – the photography team did not miss a beat as they captured a plethora of emotions through their expertise behind the lens.

Weddings Functions
Welcome Dinner
Ashish Bohra shares, “This welcome dinner drew inspiration from the awe-striking beauty of La Sagrada Familia, one of the couple’s favorite architectural marvels. The event drew heavily from the intricate gothic details of Antoni Gaudi’s era, brought to life by deep, rich and plush velvets and lush florals. Plush furniture, florals, accessories and comfortable seatings created an evening from Gaudi’s era. The couple had a royal Victorian entry with band members dressed in London guard attire.”

After Party
Ashish shares, “This event was a celebration of Mehzabeen and Ammar’s being 90s kids with an experiential twist. The décor embodied a hip-hop aesthetic featuring an immersive and sensory experience with its visuals. Fun arcade stations, trippy graffiti visuals and a fun DJ booth came together to create a fun after–party setting. Everyone danced to the beats and special mixes. Ammar had also requested the inclusion of artists dressed as transformer robots which set the tone for the evening along with hip-hop artists.”

Brunch
Ashish shares, “Drawing inspiration from the legendary hospitality of the royal families of India, this event created an opulent vibe amidst lush greenery, using gleaming silverware and delicate pearls which were accentuated by the soft pink of roses and crisp sea green chiffons. Guests swayed to the classic Hindi tunes presented in jazz harmony. We planned a simple entry for the couple involving family and friends in a flash mob.”

Sangeet
Ambika Gupta from The A-Cube Project shares, “Inspired by Mehzabeen and Ammar’s love all things celestial, the sangeet recreated the magic of the galaxies under the starry skies to celebrate a night of dancing and revelry, representing their love that is as infinite as the cosmos.”

Ashish Bohra from Perfexion Events goes on to add, “Imagine entering space with projection mapping of the universe, moon, galaxies and planets from floor to walls and ceilings. The moon installation, especially, was the highlight! The décor of this night was dreamy in every way. We had created a dome the work of which started a week in advance and 2 days entirely for checking the projection mapping. This event was technically challenging and we faced a few hurdles as well, however with efficient planning we came out stronger and were able to execute what we had visualized. We planned a dramatic entry for the couple with LED drummers and dancers, revealing them on stage.”

Pre-Wedding Lunch
Ambika shares, “Sanganeri prints, deeply reminiscent of ancient and exquisitely landscaped baghs, are believed to have emerged in the mid-17th century with the royal families of Rajasthan as the primary patrons of this traditional craft. Inspired by its rich history, the pre-wedding lunch featured a play of indo-contemporary block prints and lush florals, evoking the essence of this renowned Rajasthani craft. Customized linens in myriad hues of orange and pink were used to pay tribute to the artisans of Sanganer.”

Nikkah
Ashish shares, “Ammar’s baraat lineup included a unique combination of brass band and Nashik dhol. Plus, a DJ and an emcee also added to the energy of the baraat.”

Ambika shares, “Inspired by Ammar’s love for The Taj Mahal, a landmark of one of the greatest tributes to love, the nikkah featured nuances of Arabesque architecture, evoking an ethereal and majestic ambience for the wedding ceremony. Deriving influences from Arabic script and the traditional headpiece ‘Passa’, the setting was quintessentially elegant as Mehzabeen and Ammar took their vows amid their loved ones.”

Ashish adds, “Jharokha windows with in-lit coves, an overload of diya jaalis and candles alongside mirror work linen and fragrant tuberoses created a dreamy ambience for the wedding ceremony. We had planned a grand entry for Ammar and Mehzabeen with special effects. Following the wedding was a casual after party.”
