How They Met
Natasha shares, “Anuj and I first met around 11 years ago in Rishikesh where I was traveling with my family friend and her brother’s group of college friends – one of whom was Anuj! The first time we met, we talked all night as we enjoyed drinks and the stunning view of the mountains.”

Wedding Planning
The couple opted for an intimate yet lavish wedding up in the blissful mountains of Mussoorie. Natasha explains, “We’ve always yearned for a small wedding surrounded by our loved ones, and needless to say, both of us love the mountains since that’s where our story began.” To make their wedding an unforgettable one, they teamed up with Elusive Dreams By Pooja who made sure not a detail was amiss. Natasha shares, “Elusive Dreams by Pooja was a delight to work with! They paid attention to the smallest of details, and everything from the conceptualization to their output was absolutely incredible. Their team came up with the entire Sangeet concept which was totally out-of-the-box! Every function at the wedding had a ‘wow’ factor. Even after multiple meetings and discussions, team Elusive Dreams by Pooja was undeterred. They have this knack for comprehending where to highlight nature with minimalism and where to go completely glam!”

Weddings Functions
Engagement
Following a modern Mughal meets Sabyasachi theme, the Engagement exuded a sophisticated vibe with its mirrored backdrop. On the other hand, deep red flora played with blooms in crisp hues of white to add a refreshing tone to the decor. Natasha elucidates, “My entrance was a grand one with horses and peacocks. Additionally, a live singer kept the guests in high spirits.”

Mehndi
Dreamy and cheery, Natasha’s Mehndi flaunted a plethora of pink and peach hues that were accentuated by stunning blossoms. Hosted indoors, the highlight of this event was the whimsical swing on which the bride sat as she got henna patterned on her hands. Decorated with dahlias, baby’s breath, marigolds and lilies, this swing looked right out of a fairytale!

Chooda
For the Chooda, bright marigolds were the flowers of choice when it came to the decor. A backdrop filled with orange marigold garlands surrounded the glowing bride-to-be and her gal pals who had a gala time as they cheerily posed for pictures and indulged in wedding shenanigans!

Haldi
For the Haldi, the duo shifted outdoors where they reveled under the sunlit sky. Decorated with blooms and a foliage-laden arch that mirrored the turquoise hue of the sky, the couple laughed exuberantly as their loved ones applied turmeric paste on them and showered them with marigold petals.

Wedding
A spectacular yet intimate affair that synced perfectly with the beauty of the surrounding peaks, this mountain Wedding looked straight out of a storybook. With a mandap swathed in pastel pink blooms, foliage and peach drapes, the venue looked dreamy and serene. Surrounding the mandap were dainty pink and gold chairs that allowed the guests to be comfortable with a clear view of the wedding. Natasha who believes in supporting small businesses led by females ensured that her beliefs were reflected in her wedding trousseau. She shares, “I got a part of my wedding jewelry custom made by female-led jewelers. And the rest were gifted to me by the inspiring women in my life.

After Party
The After Party was themed around ‘Red roses and Black’, and it was lit up by a large LED sign against a striped monochrome backdrop. As the newlyweds cut the celebratory cake, LED candles lit up the entire room. Later on, the gorgeous couple had everyone cheering on as they performed a graceful waltz on the dancefloor.

Reception
For the Reception, glamor levels were on a high, replete with red roses and candelabras. Dazzling sequins suspended from the ceiling added a dash of golden sparkle even as the couple twirled on the dancefloor. For her outfit, Natasha decided to go local. She shares, “The brand Kaamdani by Renu Singh is owned and operated by my aunt. Through her, I was able to provide extensive work to many karigars for 6 months in a time when work was less and money was scarce owing to the pandemic. The upside was the feeling of elation on getting a bespoke outfit and also giving back to the community that I have been passionately engaged with for so long. The outcome was absolutely unique and hand-made with so much love that it was priceless!”

Advice For Couples
Natasha says, “My most important advice would be to enjoy your wedding! When everyone comes together to celebrate you, bask in those moments and rejoice. Also remember, that planning everything by yourself is impossible. Give it your best but have a cut-off date. Relax and let the professionals take over. Have your looks prepared in advance for all your events. Experiment but don’t compromise on comfort. Keep your makeup artist in the loop with exactly what you’re looking for and do as many trials to fit your expectations.

Moreover, when it comes to outfits, make sure you and your partner follow the same theme rather than match outfits. If possible, do support upcoming designers who can offer craftsmanship, dedication and unique designs to make you feel like a star on your big day.”
