Wedding Planning
Having formally tied the knot two years ago in the US, the couple wanted a full-blown celebration brimming with colors and grandiose moments for their Indian wedding. They brought the team of Purplerings on board, who selected the city of Jaipur for its royal heritage and spectacular palace hotels. The festivities were crafted with stunning themes and larger-than-life elements to wow their guests, such as a 100+ years-old Gowri idol for the pooja that was brought down from America to Jaipur via Bangalore and had to be shipped back. Every intricate detail was planned and managed to perfection by Team Purplerings.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi and Welcome Night
The celebrations kicked off with an inaugural Mehndi soiree that extended a warm welcome to the guests. Hosted in the hotel courtyard under a canopy of fairy lights, the occasion saw a lot of merry mingling as families on both sides interacted, gave speeches, and got their hands painted with henna. The bride sported a breezy floral green lehenga, which the groom complemented with a dark green blazer.

Haldi
Imagined in soft pastel tones against the backdrop of the Aravalli Mountains, the Haldi was a celebration of family and traditions. Colorful hanging tassels, refreshing floral arrangements, stunning Rajasthani vases, and more lit up the space while counters with bright dupattas and embroidered parasols were set up for the guests to enjoy. The couple was doused with turmeric paste and showered with flowers and love by their friends and family.

Sangeet
Hosted by the pool, the Sangeet evening saw a night of dancing and merriment under the stars. The cozy decor was brimming with plush furniture, rich jewel tones, and quirky prints under a canopy of fairy lights, while a special corner was set up with traditional Jaipuri quilts for the guests to snuggle up with in the cold. The couple and their loved ones took to the dance floor with stunning performances, and the enjoyment continued well into the night with a jam session after the party.

Gowri Puja and Cricket game
The next morning began on a serene note with the traditional ceremony of Gouri Puja, for which the century-old idol was brought from the US. The rituals were followed by a spirited game of cricket between the two families on the palace grounds.

Reception
The couple concluded their celebrations with a night of music and dance as everyone headed to the courtyard for the Reception. The bride looked ethereal in a white lehenga and the groom was regal in a black Bandhgala as they shared their first dance to tumultuous applause and cut the wedding cake. As an ode to their beloved cat “jalebi, the cake included an adorable cat design as a way to include her in the festivities. The bride also shared her joy with a dance performance with her squad, before the rest of the crowd joined in. It was a night filled with love and laughter.
