A union hosted across the architectural gems of Dubai, Neha and Shamrez Sherali’s wedding was crafted with equal parts glamour, warm moments and spirituality. As the couple celebrated the beginning of their ‘happily ever after’ they left no stone unturned to orchestrate the perfect celebration. How They Met
Neha shares, “Our love story is a beautiful tale of destiny and connection. It all started with a simple message on Facebook, which ignited a spark between us. As our conversations deepened, we eagerly waited for our first in-person meeting, which happened on Shamrez’s 30th birthday. It was love at first sight!” Later, Shamrez proposed to Neha in Las Vegas and got an immediate ‘yes!’ in return.

Wedding Planning
Capturing their cherished memories was Camlition Productions who did not miss a beat and was with the duo at every step of the way. Neha shares, “Camlition Productions team did incredible work as our wedding photographer. Court Wedding
Neha shares, “The enchanting beauty of the event began with the first look, a special moment of anticipation and love shared between us. One of the most touching moments was when my father, with tears in his eyes, walked me down the aisle, entrusting me to Shamrez. The bridal party, consisting of five bridesmaids and groomsmen, added the charm to the occasion as they gracefully held our vows while walking down the aisle. The entrance of the three adorable ring bearers in mini Mercedes AMG G-63s added a delightful and unique touch to the ceremony. The stage, adorned with an arch covered in flowers, served as the perfect backdrop for our heartfelt vows and the exchange of ‘I do’s.’ To top it all off, the 8-layered, enormous Castle cake was a dream come true, a symbol of our perfect day and everything we had envisioned.”

Mehendi
Neha shares, “The entire atmosphere embraced the spirit of a ‘mela’ with stalls scattered throughout, offering an array of live food options like Pani-puri and Jalebi-Rabdi, providing a taste of authentic flavors. One of the standout features was the unique ‘Ittar Bar’, where guests had the opportunity to create custom perfumes from a variety of scents, adding a personal touch to the event. The innovative audio guest book added a sentimental touch, allowing all the guests to leave heartfelt voicemail messages that you can treasure and listen to whenever you wish, ensuring that the memories of this special day live on. Throughout the evening, live fancy mocktails were served, ensuring that everyone stayed refreshed and energized. Guests were scattered throughout, some applying henna, kids getting their faces painted, some dancing to the beat of the dhol on the dance floor, while others indulged in the diverse food and dessert sections or enjoyed creating personalized perfumes.”

Pithi
Neha shares, “The Pithi was a beautiful and meaningful tradition that symbolized the cleansing and purification of the bride and groom before our wedding day. The ritual was filled with good luck and well-wishes. During this ceremony, a special paste called Pithi was prepared, typically made from ingredients like turmeric, chickpea flour, and rosewater. Family members and friends played a significant role in the ceremony, taking turns applying the Pithi paste liberally onto our skin and clothing. This process is not only a gesture of love and affection but also a way to usher in good fortune and happiness for the couple. Ending the ceremony with a playful splash of water added an element of surprise and celebration, making it a memorable and cherished part of our wedding festivities.”

Sangeet
“It was a night dedicated to music and dancing. It was an unforgettable celebration that brought friends and family together to dance, sing, and have an incredible time. The festivities began with our special entrance in an ATV, setting the tone for an evening of excitement and adventure. The night was further enriched by amazing dance performances presented by our friends and family. To elevate the experience to the next level, we had the privilege of hosting the renowned Bollywood singer, Stebin Ben”, says Neha.

Nikah
Neha shares, “Held at the magnificent Ismaili Center Dubai, an architectural masterpiece that blends social and cultural spaces, this ceremony was the culmination of our love story. This momentous occasion marked the signing of the marriage contract, a symbol of our commitment to each other and a shared future. The significance of this ceremony was further amplified by the fact that it took place in our prayer hall, adding a deeply spiritual dimension to the proceedings. Here, we both were united not only in the eyes of our loved ones but also in the eyes of our faith, becoming Mr and Mrs Sherali, and commencing our journey as a married couple. The stunning architecture and pleasant patio provided the perfect backdrop for some memorable pictures.”

Reception
Neha shares, “The event happened in the heart of Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, adding an extra layer of luxury to the evening. The Armani Ballroom within the Burj Khalifa served as the venue for our reception, setting the stage for an evening of sheer elegance and luxury. Every detail was meticulously planned to perfection, from the amazing cuisine to the mesmerizing decor that enveloped the space. The focal point of the event was our awe-inspiring 8-layered cake, a masterpiece that descended from the ceiling, leaving guests in sheer amazement. As a bride, this event was full of emotions, a night where every detail, every smile, and every dance step became cherished memories. It was a celebration beyond perfection, a night that radiated joy, and an extraordinary conclusion to our remarkable three-day wedding extravaganza.”

Advice For Couples
Orchestrating a grand destination wedding is not a cakewalk. And, for brides-to-be, Neha has a few tips to share, “To start with, definitely get a wedding planner. They make your life 1000 times easier! Start early because all the good vendors get booked fast. Set a budget but prioritize things you want to spend money on and things you don’t want to spend money on. Try to be on the same page with your partner about what you guys want for the wedding so it’s easier for the wedding planner to accommodate your needs.
Delegate tasks to family members, friends, or a wedding planner. This will help reduce stress and allow you to enjoy the planning process. Three essential things for any wedding are Venue, Food, and Photography. Ideally, one shouldn’t be compromising on these three elements.
Don’t forget to take care of yourselves. Wedding planning can be stressful, so make time for relaxation, date nights, and self-care to keep your relationship strong.”
