How They Met
Entrepreneurs and competitors in the same corporate space, Nikita, Founder of The Blue Beans, and Anmol who leads product and monetization at CRED first met at a professional interaction to explore a collaboration. Even though they could not find synergy between their businesses, they discovered a deep attraction, compatibility and a mutual passion that sparked their love.
Nikita shares, “His proposal was beyond anything I could have ever imagined! We were ziplining in Coorg, and as I landed, I spotted a massive red banner zipping towards me that said the words ‘Will you Marry me, Nikita’. I was blown away and I immediately said “yes”!
The couple decided to tie the knot at the beautiful lakefront Hotel Lakend, located right on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake in Udaipur. With minimal decor to enhance the beauty of the venue, the team of We Don’t Say Cheese immortalized every moment of the celebrations in beautiful shots.
After a heartening welcome for the guests at the lakefront hotel, the festivities kicked off with an afternoon Mehndi function. The breezy decor of flowers and drapes in romantic hues of white and pink looked divine against the blue waters beyond. The couple wore stunning mirror-work ensembles in coordinated shades of pink and blue, and the relaxed, fun event saw champagne, mimosas, music, dancing, and enjoyment.
The afternoon function was followed by a glamorous outdoor cocktail party for the Sangeet. The red and ivory decor was decked with vines of bougainvillea flowers. Dressed in a shimmering crimson lehenga and a suit respectively, the bride and groom entered as red balloons were released into the air! After a night of dance performances, the revelries continued into the night with a neon afterparty.
The traditional yellow of the Haldi function got a lovely twist with lavender hues for the morning event. The joint Haldi of the couple was full of smiles and joy as they were smeared with turmeric paste by their loved ones. A special performance of ‘Chana Jor Garam’ was followed by a sumptuous Rajasthani lunch.
The wedding was a stunning confluence of white and peach hues with floral decor that painted a pretty picture against the glittering blue lake. The couple wore blush pink and peach outfits to complement the romantic vibe of the occasion. The groom arrived in a vintage car baraat for the sunset nuptials, while an abundance of fireworks, cold pyro, and color bombs added to the magic of the festivities.
The wedding was followed by a reception dinner dressed up with twinkling fairy lights and ivory drapes. Heartfelt speeches, warm memories, and anecdotes were shared over champagne and cocktail toasts, and the bride was surprised by the groom and his mother with a song and poem, respectively.
Advice for couples
“Divide the planning responsibilities, and delegate the tasks to avoid getting stressed out and overwhelmed. While planning is important, it is just as important to enjoy the process, because you aren’t going to get this time back.”
