Together, they envisioned a wedding that was equal parts relaxed and refined, with every detail curated to feel personal, poetic, and joyfully unscripted. Entrusted with the responsibility of bringing this vision to life, WeddingSutra Favorite – 7X Weddings by Dev-Raj took on the role of both planners and designers, seamlessly translating their story into a stunning multi-day celebration.
Wedding Planning
For Palak and Parichay, the brief to 7X Weddings by Dev-Raj was simple yet significant: “Keep it chill, yet beautiful.” The intention was to let the ethereal beauty of Halong Bay speak for itself, with every setup designed to enhance the natural surroundings. Team 7X Weddings by Dev-Raj recalls, “They were very clear, they wanted soul over spectacle. We focused on creating mood over grandeur, weaving their personalities into every detail while allowing the venue’s raw beauty to breathe.”
From the relaxed flow of events to the organic decor elements, each experience was planned with emotional resonance at its core. “Working with them felt like planning a wedding with friends. They knew what they wanted, but trusted us to interpret it with artistry,” adds the team.
Wedding Functions
Haldi
The festivities began on a breezy bohemian note. Evoking a sun-drenched spirit, the Haldi was awash in earthy textures and soft, washed-out tones. Wicker accents, flowing drapes, and handcrafted details created a soulful setting, perfectly in sync with the laughter, rituals, and joy that filled the air.
Pyjama Party
The couple turned tradition on its head with a neon-lit pyjama party—an unapologetic burst of futuristic fun. Think glow-in-the-dark elements, retro disco balls, and LED installations that transformed the night into a high-octane unwind session.
Bhaat
The Bhaat ceremony brought a return to roots with a garden party twist. Intimate, floral-laden, and heartfelt, it celebrated familial bonds amidst abundant blooms and pastel pastiches. The decor felt like spring!
Wedding
Drawing inspiration from Sufi mysticism, the wedding ceremony unfolded with grace and tranquillity. A palette of delicate pastels and soft, live Sufi music set the tone for a deeply spiritual experience. Floating floral mandaps and ethereal drapes mirrored the serenity of the bay, inviting guests into a space of love and togetherness.
Reception
For the grand finale, elegance met entertainment in a black-tie cocktail soiree, but with a dramatic twist. Inspired by Bollywood’s glitziest night, the couple hosted an IIFA-style awards show that redefined what receptions could be.
