Having achieved great success in their professional lives, Parveen and Jad had been waiting for the right person to grow old with, and they found that in each other. They solidified their love and commitment to each other with a dreamy beach side wedding on the pristine shores of Langkawi. Here are a few glimpses.
How they met
Indian born Parveen crossed paths with Lebanese born Jad in Dubai. With instant chemistry between them, their journey from strangers to soulmates progressed as they got to know each other better when they bonded over visions, goals and priorities in life. After 3 and a half years of dating and adopting a fur baby together, they decided to tie the knot.
Wedding venue
The couple always dreamed of a tropical beach wedding and had originally decided on Thailand. However, they considered the milling tourists and also the fact that they had been there before. Hence, they decided on a different and previously unexplored location, which brought them to destination Langkawi. After researching about 8 venues, they zeroed in on The St. Regis Langkawi for its luxurious setting, impeccable services, their warm hospitality and the abundance of indoor and outdoor spaces.
Wedding Planning
The couple entrusted the planning and execution of the wedding to Lana Wedding Planners, while The Langkawi Photographer captured every moment of their beautiful celebrations. Skincover Bridal Makeup gave the bride flawless looks while Fasha Senduk adorned her hands with intricate henna designs.
Wedding Functions
Welcome Lunch
The festivities kicked off with an informal welcome lunch at L’Orangerie restaurant, as all the guests settled in and got acquainted over delectable food and drinks.
Pre-Wedding Dinner
The spectacular pre-wedding dinner was hosted in the Astor ballroom. With big chandeliers and warm romantic hues, the event blended Indian ceremonies with the grandness of a European gala dinner. An elegant long table setting with a pastel palette was set up for women to get their hands decorated with henna as canapés and mocktails made the rounds. The evening then transitioned into a gala dinner with attendants serving in a family style setup.
Wedding
In soft hues of ivory and pink scattered with a profusion of flowers, the ethereal nuptial ceremony was held on the beach with palms and green grass overlooking mountains in the sea. Copper toned vases and candle holders, chic props and luxurious seating arrangements added an elegant feel to the event. The guests were welcomed with wedding favors that were decorated with pink ribbons to match the main color scheme.
Cocktail and Reception
The cocktail hour and the wedding reception were held on the lawn behind Pantai Grill restaurant.
