This destination wedding explored many themes ranging from a boho-rustic chooda ceremony, a jungle-themed sangeet to a classic glitzy reception dinner.
Raveen Sethi Uppal and Sunny Uppal’s wedding celebrations were vibrant, lush and modern. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Royal Gala Events the union echoed the duo’s love for all things vivid while paying homage to their cultural roots.

Russel Britto from Royal Gala Events shares, “Raveen and Sunny’s wedding was a mesmerizing journey straight out of a storybook, reflecting the beauty of their love story. From the traditional Chooda ceremony, the vibrant Maiyaan Haldi ceremony to the lively Sangeet night and the culmination of their heartfelt wedding ceremony – each moment was infused with joy and love. The grand gala reception that followed was a fitting finale to their celebration of love. Every aspect of the wedding was meticulously planned and executed, with exclusively designed themes and décor that surpassed all expectations, creating an atmosphere of enchantment and wonder for all who attended.”
Wedding Functions
Chooda
Russel shares, “Raveen and Sunny’s chooda ceremony was a breathtaking affair held on the poolside deck area, enveloped in bohemian vibes from the entrance tunnel to the pool overhead. The ambience was alive with vibrant colors and boho floral arrangements, creating a captivating atmosphere. An antique Rajasthani ‘jhoola’ served as a charming photo booth, adding a touch of nostalgia to the event.”
Mayian
For the Mayian (equivalent to haldi in Punjabi weddings), the theme was inspired by a carnival. Russel shares, “The carnival-themed décor transformed the venue into a lively spectacle, with a vibrant entrance tunnel setting the stage for an unforgettable experience. The explosion of colors infused the atmosphere with energy, prompting everyone to dance to the lively tunes and enjoy themselves like never before. The cool carnival entrance complemented by the couple’s seating backdrop adorned with ribbons, elicited awe and wonder.”
Sangeet
Russel shares, “Guests stepped into a world of enchantment with the lavish jungle-themed decor, where shimmering animals frolicked amidst a backdrop of lush foliage. Brilliant bulbs cast a verdant glow, while disco balls twinkled like distant stars overhead. The coffee tables were interspersed with mirror-studded life-size reindeer and a towering Pegasus installation welcomed the guests to the jungle-themed celebration. Safari-style seating arrangements boasted meticulous details with each element carefully curated to immerse guests in the wild allure of the jungle.”
Anand Karaj
Russel shares, “The Anand Karaj ceremony took place at the Gurudwara. The decor was minimal with white floral arches adorning the entryway. Sunny’s arrived in a sleek luxury car with his baraat and dholwalas in tow.”
Reception
Russel shares, “Hosted on the beachside lawns and extending to the sandy shores, the gala reception dinner was a glitzy one, A gold shimmering LED striped main stage backdrop added a touch of sophistication, while exclusive seating arrangements and cocktail tables provided guests with an intimate and luxurious experience.”
