Rupani and Chirag, Phuket
From a quirky mehndi and glitzy cocktail to a dreamy sunset wedding, this couple danced through their 3-day Thailand wedding extravaganza.
From the moment they met to their forever after, Rupani Sharma & Chirag Nangia have danced through it all and then some more! Their colorful, joyous Thailand wedding was the perfect embodiment of their love. Planned amidst the coastal beauty of Amazing Thailand by WeddingSutra Favorite – The Wedding Network, every moment of their revelries was a portrayal of their vibrant personalities.
How they met
In a meet-cute straight out of a rom-com, Rupani and Chirag first crossed paths in a salsa class when their instructor paired them together for a dance. Little did they know they had found their dance partner for life. After 4 years of dating, they decided to tie the knot.
Chirag popped the question to Rupani with a stunning surprise proposal in Goa that he planned with the help of her friends, giving her a memory she would never forget.
The couple wanted to celebrate their wedding with a breezy destination beach wedding and they fell in love with the divine property of Angsana Laguna Phuket when the same was suggested by their wedding planner. The beguiling beachfront venue and exotic coastal beauty of Thailand perfectly framed their picturesque revelries and gorgeous sunset pheras.
The couple brought on board the amazing team of The Wedding Network to plan a vibrant, lively destination wedding in Thailand. They share, “Clearly the best in the business, every little detail was taken care of by Annika and her team. The planning and arrangements were impeccable as all functions were created with different settings and very unique themes.”
From the bride’s unique outfits to the lavish decor and high octane festivities, the couple’s colorful 3 day wedding extravaganza was brimming with fun and frolic. Amazing dance mixes thanks to the bride’s dance company Dansync, reusable invites made by her partner and friend added to the experience.
Warm hues of peach, tassels and quirky props set a fun tone amidst the lush greenery for the Mehndi function. The bride’s printed teal blue dhoti saree was the perfect fuss-free yet stunning option for the occasion, while the groom opted for a bold combination of royal blue and orange.
Alluring peach floral arrangements, sleek metallic elements and shimmering fairy lights set a quaint yet glamorous vibe for the elegant engagement function. All eyes however were on the bride who dazzled in a glittering emerald green and black gown.
The next morning began with a fun pool party for everyone to relax, enjoy and unwind in style. The groom channeled a beach vibe in a tropical shirt and shorts while the bride sported a breezy yellow co-ord made for her by her father. A memorable balloon shoot, pool fun, games and non-stop laughter completed the day’s enjoyment.
The evening continued with a rocking cocktail Sangeet with glitzy decor, dazzling performances and rousing music that had everyone grooving into the night.
The Haldi ceremony saw a fun quirky twist on the traditional yellow decor with sunny marigold hangings and other props. The bride and groom looked all geared up for their new adventure wearing matching red kurta pajamas which had “Challenge Accepted” written at the back. The contrasting yellow and orange sported by the bride squad made for fun pictures.
The breathtaking sunset Wedding was an ethereal affair with resplendent peach and orange decor. Dressed in matching hues of nude pink, the couple were a sight to behold as they tied the knot under a mandap of plush drapes and a whimsical array of flowers.
Advice for couples
“There is a lot that leads up to marriage. Once at the function, slow down, enjoy the ceremonies and really soak up the moment. In short, don’t forget to have as much fun as you can at your wedding.
