Wedding Planning
Spearheading their wedding planning process was 7X-Weddings who with their innovative approach and seasoned planning skills ensured the destination union went ahead sans any hiccups. Devange Shah and Rajat Sogani from 7X-Weddings share, “A customized passport for the itinerary with logo stamps and a make-your-own room hamper facility where guests could pick up snacks as per their liking were organized. The make-your-own-room hamper facility was specially curated with an aim to reduce food wastage. All events were equipped with customized cushions that had the couple’s wedding logo on them and to make everything seamless, the decor elements were finalized ahead of time to ensure the wedding invitations reflected the decor themes.”

Ashima Arora & Rameen Sawhney from Aroosi, who designed their wedding, share, “As a designer, we have been fortunate to work on some incredible events over the years but, this was truly a dream come true. We were asked to design our first foreign wedding and it was an experience that we’ll never forget. From the moment we received the brief, we were sure that this was going to be a special project. One thing we were very sure about was doing proper research on the local culture and customs, and being open to new ideas and ways of working. We spent weeks researching and planning, sourcing materials and creating mood boards, to ensure that every detail was perfect and that the end result would exceed the couple’s expectations. Working with a local team of vendors was a new experience for us, but everyone was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The designs were inspired by the natural beauty of the location, with a color palette of soft pinks, greens, blues, and blushes.”

Wedding Functions
Opening Night
Aptly named ‘barefoot on the beach’, the opening night was hosted to make sure the guests experience the joy and comfort of letting loose. The setup was on the beach of the venue and had lots of natural materials like wood, stone, and flowers to create a relaxed, bohemian vibe for the night. A theater-style seating around the artist’s stage with mashaals surrounding the periphery amped up the bohemian aura, giving the guests a warm bonfire party-like atmosphere. Rajat Sogani from 7X-Weddings shares, “For the entry we had the bride and the groom make a train from either side and eventually form a heart. The exchange of rings happened at the beginning on a platform at the center. As it was the first event, we had local Vietnamese acts to welcome the guests, like, a lion dance, Vietnamese drum beats, a graceful Vietnamese hat dance and a family flash mob.”

Haldi and Mehndi
Bride Sakshi shares, “Unlike the usual yellow and orange theme, we wanted the haldi and mehndi to be a colorful one. The colour scheme for the event was shades of pink and orange in a lush green garden. We had fun activities like lantern making, customized Vietnamese hats, caricatures, painting, nail art, foot massages and more to entertain our guests. The table centrepieces had our photos along with mini crosswords guests could solve.”

Rasmeen says, “The Haldi event was a heartwarming celebration, radiating love and affection throughout. We drew inspiration from the symbol of everlasting love—the love lock. We crafted the entire theme around hearts! Pranay called Sakshi, his queen of hearts- we had made it our aim to overload on the heart motifs.

Sangeet
Devang Shah from 7X-Wedding shares, “For this night, we had a galaxy-themed decor and dark purple and blue shades adorning the banquet hall. The theme of the performances revolved around planning the ‘wedcation’, that is, wedding and vacation!”

An ode to the couple and how their stars aligned, the focus was on turning the venue into a personal club for the family and their guests. 3D and holographic projections were used in various ways to light up the decor. Ashima explains, “It was a night under the stars as the couple are enthusiastic about sun signs! We thought of using the matchmaking with the planetary positions, and stars and gave it a twist. A starry night but with a planetary touch. We created a galaxy over the ceiling, done in the colors of our palette we created a full solar system above us in the most aesthetic way!”

Wedding
The beachside pearl shore-themed wedding was a beautiful and elegant affair. Soft pastel shades of pink and peach were running all through the exotic flowers and linen along with intricate details in almost every element.
Custom cushions and creatives, seashell photo frames with the couple’s pictures, wedding bells for the guests to ring during the ceremony, tablescape details with napkins and couple initials, and delicate pearl string chair-back made the setting even more graceful and warm.
Sakshi shares, “We had afternoon pheras and it was beautifully executed with pink and white florals along with little bells that everyone tinkled during the varmala by the pool. I walked the aisle with a voiceover message from my father. And, the mandap was propped up with acrylic pillars.”

Reception
The wedding reception was held at a beachfront venue. Emerald green was a bold and elegant choice as it created a luxurious and unforgettable atmosphere for the happy couple and their guests for the celebratory dinner. Rajat Sogani from 7X-Wedding shares, “An English style ‘Thank You dinner’ that followed an enchanted forest theme decor was orchestrated for the final day. Chandeliers shone brightly in the tented venue and there was a performance by the bride and her dad. Later, the couple’s first dance commenced which was followed by heartfelt toasts.”
