Samya Bachani & Shivam Chouhan, Raffles Udaipur
From edgy art to Ganesh installations and a tribute to Shiva and Parvati, this wedding hit all the emotions.
Samya Bachani and Shivam Chouhan met in London as students, sharing the same student accommodation. Samya, a Bombay girl, studied at Goldsmiths, University of London. Shivam, originally from Bhopal and a Sanskar Valley alumnus, was at Regent’s University. What started as casual interactions in shared spaces soon blossomed into a deep connection, one that neither of them had anticipated but both quickly cherished.
When Samya Bachani and Shivam Chouhan decided to tie the knot, they wanted a celebration that was rooted in intention and individuality. More than just beautiful decor—they wanted meaning in every corner and emotion in every element. This was brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite- DreamzKrraft Weddings.

How We Met
Samya and Shivam met in London as students. While Samya, a Bombay girl, was pursuing her degree at Goldsmiths, University of London, Shivam, who is originally from Bhopal, is an alumnus of Sanskar Valley School, was studying at Regent’s University. What started as casual interactions in shared spaces soon blossomed into a deep connection, one that neither of them had anticipated but both quickly cherished.

Wedding Planning
The team at DreamzKrraft Weddings shared that the bride envisioned a celebration that was deeply personal, immersive, and artfully curated—where every element held meaning. “For Samya, décor wasn’t just about creating something beautiful—it was about storytelling. She wanted each space to evoke a memory, a feeling, or a part of their journey together,” shares Akansha Sidhwani of DreamzKrraft Weddings. “Our goal was to translate her emotions into design, weaving in thoughtful details that would resonate not only with the couple but also with every guest who experienced it.” Guided by this intimate vision, the team brought each event to life with refined elegance and soulful creativity.

Wedding Functions
Welcome Dinner
The Welcome dinner had to be something truly magical—an atmosphere that felt warm, intimate, and unforgettable. Lighting became the muse at this dinner.
Candles were not just a part of the decor—they defined it. Every flicker of candlelight contributed to the enchanting atmosphere, setting the perfect tone for the festivities ahead. The design was minimal yet immersive, with soft greens and whites seamlessly blending into the natural outdoor surroundings.
A key highlight was the sit-down dinner, where two long tables formed an “S,” subtly symbolizing Samya and Shivam.

Sangeet
The bride wanted the sangeet to be an experience. Inspired by one of her favorite artists Yayoi Kusama, she envisioned a space that felt bold, immersive, and larger than life.
The Sangeet color palette featured a striking mix of black and white, with pops of red and yellow adding vibrancy. The entrance was a grand keyhole leading into a world of illusion and scale. The stage was designed to evoke the feeling of a grand concert, placing the DJ high above the crowd, amplifying the energy. The smallest details like an ashtray, acting as an artwork in itself, blended functionality with art.

Mehendi
The Mehendi was a subtle tribute to Samya and Shivam’s love story. A bunny holding a coffee cup from ‘Boojee Café’ hinted at their beginnings, with the cup stamped “Chapter Spitalfields, London” — the place where it all started.
At the heart of the celebration stood an installation featuring the couple’s favorite cocktails, adding a personal and playful touch to the event.

Haldi
Yellow and orange marigolds brought warmth and joy to every corner — a beautiful homage to timeless customs. Gotta patti heart hangings swayed gently from the trees, delicate centerpieces added charm to each table, and the floral Lord Ganesha backdrop became the soul of the ceremony.

Wedding
The wedding décor was inspired by the timeless love of Lord Shiva and Parvati, and every element was a tribute to their devotion and togetherness. Mouli threads wrapped the trees, bells chimed through the air, and trishuls lit up the aisle for the beautiful bride. The 3D Ganesha made of golden bells marked the evening with blessings and new beginnings.
