Sana Karnawat and Shaunak Gupta’s wedding was a breathtaking confluence of heritage and modernity planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Mpire Weddings. Designed by WeddingSutra Favorite – Do It Up, the multi-day celebration unfolded through thoughtfully curated events that reflected the couple’s cultural roots while embracing contemporary elegance.
Wedding Planning
Reflecting on her wedding journey, bride Sana shared, “I had long admired Do It Up’s work on Instagram, and from the moment we first met, there was an instant sense of comfort. Their approach was the perfect blend of warmth, professionalism, and creative finesse. They were deeply involved yet gave me the space to truly savour every moment without being weighed down by logistics. Their passion translated into designs that surpassed all expectations, and knowing they were at the helm allowed me to be fully present, trusting that every detail was being curated with thought and care.”

Wedding Functions
Haldi
For her haldi, Sana envisioned a palette beyond the usual yellow—one that embraced warm, sun-kissed hues of red, orange, pink, and soft marigold. This vision came to life with a dreamy setup of suspended roses, botanically printed cabanas, and fluted wooden centre tables. The couple’s seating was framed by rattan arches and adorned with vibrant floral and fruit arrangements, while a charming bangle and mirror cart added a playful touch. A botanical-print dance floor seamlessly tied the vibrant, tropical aesthetic together.
Sangeet
The sangeet exuded timeless elegance with deep green velvet drapes, warm chandelier lighting, and lush white-and-green floral arrangements. At the heart of the celebration was a thoughtfully designed story wall at the entrance, where the couple’s journey was captured through photographs and cherished milestones, infusing the evening with intimacy and charm.
Mayra
Rooted in tradition and familial love, the Mayra ceremony was designed with timeless elegance. A regal setting with fragrant jasmine, soft pink roses, gold accents, and intricately carved wooden furniture gave the event an elegant vibe. Garlands cascading from the trees evoked the charm of a royal courtyard—an ode to the grace and grandeur of an ancient Indian princess’s celebration.
Wedding
For the pheras, the bride’s vision of a ‘Garden of Love’ unfolded in a serene symphony of pastel hues, like lavender, blush pink, and peach. The venue bloomed with delicate florals, arched chandeliers entwined with greens, and glistening crystal lights. A sleek acrylic welcome board lent a contemporary touch, while the ethereal setting evoked the feeling of an enchanted garden.
