How They Met
Saudamini recollects, “Rushabh and I met through an arranged marriage setup. We were placed in touch via one of my mom’s friends who sent his bio data to us. As our conversation took off, we realized that we had so many things in common and that our taste in music was the same! This broke the ice for us and from then on there was no turning back!”

The Proposal
Recollecting how Rushabh popped the question, Saudamini shares, “Four months after we started conversing, Rushabh flew down to New York to meet me. On the occasion of my birthday, Rushabh planned a surprise proposal for me at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. Furnished with a classic ring from Tiffany’s, roses and chocolates, he proposed to me over an amazing dinner overlooking the New York skyline.”

Wedding Venue
Saudamini shares, “Since we had to choose a venue amidst the pandemic, we made several trips to Rajasthan. After skimming through a host of cities and locations, we chose Rambagh Palace as it ticked every box on our list. Not only is it conveniently located but nothing quite compares to the sheer beauty of this amazing place! From the moment our families saw the venue, they were floored by the sheer beauty of its vast lawns and palatial architecture. It has a wonderful choice of venues to choose from, both outdoor and indoors. We had the liberty to choose exactly what we wanted due to the vast environs, and of course, a noteworthy mention of the hotel’s extremely helpful staff who were always at hand to assist us.”

Wedding Planning
Planning a destination wedding on a grand scale is a colossal task best left to the experts. Ensuring that everything went ahead without a hiccup was DreamzKrraft who with their sharply honed planning and decor skills amplified the couple’s ideas to orchestrate an unforgettable wedding. The happy bride shares, “Team DreamzKrraft managed everything perfectly! Every little detail was looked into and not once did they give us a chance to stress out or point out a flaw. Working with them was a seamless experience. They doubled up to ensure the safe arrival of the guests in Jaipur, and then were totally hands on with the decor, the RSVP management and of course, coordinating with multiple vendors simultaneously.

Although many of our events went on till the wee hours of the morning, their team stood steadfast and were full of energy the very next day too even as they etched out all the plans! Moreover, the entire team would diligently meet with us every week throughout the duration of the wedding to discuss details, and we soon became fast friends. They also have amazing food consultants on board to guide you through the menu curation for each event based on the themes.”

Sangeet
Saudamini shares, “Since this was to be hosted under a star-studded sky, we chose elegant colors in shades of blue, beige, peach, pink and white. Huge chandeliers were suspended from the central tree with the bar placed beneath it. The entrance corridor was also adorned with blooms and musicians who played traditional instruments to welcome the guests.” Priti Sidhwani from DreamzKrraft shares, “The bride and groom weren’t too keen on dance performances and hence the guests were treated to a solo song sung by the bride at the ring ceremony amidst heartfelt speeches made by the family. Following this, everyone took to the dance floor by storm as they danced the night away!”

Haldi
The bride shares, “The decor for the Haldi was dominated by marigolds that were accentuated by banana leaves which added a South Indian vibe to the function. The event was very playful and both our families had a fun time slathering us with turmeric. Additionally, the food too followed the yellow theme with Gujarati foods like khandvi, khichdi, dhokla and dal on the menu.” Using a profusion of yellow and orange hues, this decor created by DreamzKrraft consisted of a life-size Ganesha created out of flowers, brass diya stands and urlis that added a dash of quirky glam to the celebrations.

Wedding
Saudamini shares, “The wedding theme we chose was ‘Divine Chimes’ and I wanted it to be extremely serene and pristine. When I approached the varmala area, sitars were playing and it almost felt like time stood still. Accompanying me were my mom and dad who are dearest to me in this world. Rambagh Palace has a beautiful waterbody at its center and they created a small podium right in the middle for us to exchange varmalas. After that, we proceeded to the mandap which was swathed in red, oranges and off-white hues and I entered to a pre-recorded song sung by me. Amongst other decor elements, the golden bells with floral garlands chimed merrily in the wind. Everything was just so dreamy! Post the wedding, a grand reception dinner was held where everyone indulged themselves with mouthwatering Rajasthani and Punjabi cuisine.”
