Delhi-based Shreya and Shalabh got married in Pattaya. The wedding functions of Shreya, a homemaker and Shalabh, an Analyst with Barista were held between 12th and 15th November at Amari Orchid, Dusit Thani and Grand Centara Mirage, Pattaya. Over 140 guests flew in from India and Gurgaon-based Foreign Wedding Planners (FWP) managed the entire event‚the accommodation, decor & logistics, F & B, hospitality, travel arrangements and entertainment.

FWP are destination wedding planners specialising in Indian Weddings in Thailand. Explains Neha Mehrotra of FWP: …Shreya and Shalabh chose Thailand as they wanted a destination with an amazing ambience and one where all of them could feel as if they were holidaying and relaxing. The bride and groom chose Grand Centara Mirage, Pattaya because they had heard a lot about the property from their friends. Also the location for the pheras in the hotel was under the sky– and they wanted this ambience and feel.”

The functions included a sea-side welcome party at Dusit Thani where the theme was Blue to match the brides blue ensemble. The mehndi on 13th November was held at Amari Orchid. The theme was yellow and the venue was decorated with lots of candles and the ambience was traditional. The decor elements included green, yellow and white orchids, beautiful ice sculptures, yellow & gold satin fabrics and traditional Punjabi folk singers performed.

The choora and haldi ceremony was held in the morning of 14th November. The Wedding & Reception was at Grand Centara Mirage in Pattaya. The colors of the evening were purple & pink. The pheras were held by the sunset, at a huge mandap decorated with tons of orchids, gold kaliras and satin fabric.

Wedding Wear

Shreya wore a blue gown for the welcome night and a yellow sharara for the Mehndi. For the wedding and reception, she wore an ensemble by Anamika Khanna– a purple & pink lehenga with lots of silver and gold wire work and zardozi.

Says Shreya: …Neha of Foreign Wedding Planners in a perfect coordinator and took care of all the details. We wanted a fairytale wedding and that is exactly how our wedding turned out to be.
