A month into their whirlwind romance, Silky and Sarvesh knew that they had found their perfect match. Their wedding, planned by WeddingSutra Favorite Swaaha Wedding Management Co., reflected their impeccable sense of style!
The bride shares with us highlights from the celebrations.
How We Met
“My best friend played Cupid at a wedding both of us were attending. While Sarvesh knew that I was going to be there and was looking forward to seeing me, I was taken by surprise when I crossed paths with him. We got talking and before we knew it, we were man and wife!”
Wedding Venue
“My husband’s family resides in the regal city of Jaipur so the destination for our nuptials was an obvious choice. There’s no denying the Pink City encapsulates an undeniable romantic charm. The JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa is one of the newest properties here and we didn’t have to think twice before making this gorgeous architectural marvel our wedding venue.”
Wedding Planning
“Our wedding was planned by Swaaha Wedding Management Co. Mareesha and Hemant, the couple behind this company are now family to me and that itself should tell you a lot about my experience of working with them. I would blindly trust them to turn any of my dreams into reality. They are known as the best there is in the business with good reason and I would always highly recommend them!
I would also like to mention my makeup artist Shradha Luthria of Doll You Up by S for giving me distinct looks for each event. Working with her was an absolute breeze and everyone must check out the work this talented girl does when looking for a makeup artist for their big day.”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
“The first event, my mehndi, was characterized by all things bright. The venue was brought to life with gazebos in popping colors, a statement photo booth shaped like oversized sunglasses, adorned with marigolds, vivid drapes, kitschy umbrellas and more.
While the surroundings were vibrant, I went with a muted lehenga by Avvantikaa S Parwani and matched it with floral kaliras from Floral Art By Srishti.”
Sangeet
“The sangeet brought a royal twist. With a grand setup that included elephant statues at the entrance as well as a stage designed to make my family feel like celebrities as they performed – we had it all.
I am not a typical girly girl and didn’t want my dance to be coy and emotional. So my team of choreographers from Happy Dancing Feet organized a super energetic Ranveer mashup that had everyone’s feet tapping!
A beige Sabyasachi lehenga was the outfit I chose to dress up in for this event and I felt like a queen!”
Wedding
“For the pheras, we went with an elegant aesthetic. The ballroom was decked in pastel drapes and at the center of the mandap was a striking floral chandelier. Fresh blooms in pink and white exuded a sense of young romance. The decor for the ceremony was so beautiful that the memory still gives me chills.
Manish Malhotra was my designer of choice for my wedding day. The outfit I wore was originally all white but Indian tradition doesn’t really allow for this so the team stepped in and offered to customize my wedding lehenga. They made it pink and during the trials I was so pleased because this version looked better than the original. I’m so grateful they made this happen.”
Reception
“This event was the most magical for me. Sarvesh and I opted for a royal ball to draw the curtain on our celebrations. Our event planners brought every single request of mine to life.
We entered in a 16-feet-tall cake. There were larger-than-life playing cards, a checkerboard dance floor along with mystical lighting. Every couple in my family performed ballroom dances and raised toasts to us with heart touching speeches. For me, this night was surreal.
Eye Candy, who designed my outfit, are true masters of their craft. While the biggest of names asked me to extend the deadline, they brought the ball gown of my dreams in on time and I could not have trusted anyone else for the task at hand. Besides the sangeet performances, Happy Dancing Feet also choreographed my ballroom dance. My first dance also featured the magic of laser projection that formed a ‘skirt’ around me as I danced away!”
Advice For Couples
“My biggest tip to anyone planning their wedding would be to choose a wedding planner who you truly trust and believe in. Swaaha Wedding Management Co. gave me the wedding of my dreams.
I would also urge every bride-to-be to consider getting your love story incorporated into the design of your mehndi. Personalizing my mehndi with my story of going from Mumbai to Hong Kong has to be one of my most treasured moments and Jasmine Mehndi, my henna artist did a fabulous job with it.”
