Sneha and Kunal pulled off an Indian wedding in the beautiful environs of Antalya in Turkey. Here, the bride shares highlights of the celebrations that included gorgeous themes and fun events planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Horizon WIE and candid moments captured by another WeddingSutra Favorite – Israni Photography.

How We Met
“Karan and I went to different colleges, but we met through our large circle of mutual friends. When we were hanging out, he was often in the group, and that’s how we got to know each other and fell in love. We started dating and were in a relationship for seven years before we decided to get married. There was no formal proposal, but I still get to spend the rest of my life with the man of my dreams!”

Wedding Venue
Sneha had her heart set on Antalya from her first visit there and wanted to celebrate her big day in this beautiful location. “I did not want a cliched destination wedding, so I decided to pick an off-beat destination. Antalya was the perfect fit for us, and we loved the Rixos Premium Belek.”

Wedding Functions

Mehndi
The celebrations kickstarted with some color and merrymaking at the mehndi function. After the guests refreshed themselves, they made their way to an intimate mehndi ceremony in a venue that was decorated with beautiful floral arrangements and lots of other interesting traditional Indian and contemporary elements.

Turkish Party
Next up on this list of celebrations was the Turkish-themed party. The decor was all about drapes, and warm lights and fresh florals added as a dreamy touch. The highlight of the evening was the bride’s entry and the Turkish performers that mesmerized the guests that evening.

Beach Party
The fun beach party included a bar set up with a cooler palette of blue and white for the decor. The upbeat songs kept the guests dancing throughout the evening. To match all the enthusiasm, the bride wore a stunning orange gown that had her looking groovy throughout the evening. The couple even did a fun photo shoot using a splash of colors that created some beautiful frames.

Sangeet
The color scheme for the sangeet decor was all red with a touch of gold. The stage was set up, and lots of chandeliers added a classy touch to the venue. The tables were also decorated with red centerpieces. The bride was a vision in her Manish Malhotra ensemble while the groom complemented her in his Rohit Bal outfit. There were dance performances by both sides of the family, after which the couple performed a choreographed dance.

Pheras
For the beachside pheras, the couple wore beautiful traditional creations by Sabyasachi. Both had their separate baraats as they made a grand entry to the venue. The decor was minimal with fresh floral arrangements and ‘kaleeras’ (traditional dangling ornaments) suspended from a curtained mandap. The bride’s makeup was all about highlighting the eyes alongside a subtle, soft look that made her look radiant all through the function.

Reception
After the wedding, a formal English reception was organized. The party moved indoors for the reception where the venue was beautifully decorated. The couple’s friends and family danced to rocking numbers, and the couple wore elegant ensembles which impressed all.
