Zoha and Adil, Marrakech, Morocco
This couple’s wedding in the countryside of Marrakech will leave you charmed.
Zoha and Adil’s intimate wedding exudes the sort of warmth that can only be found in small gatherings. Private and utterly romantic, their nuptials were rooted in tradition and emanated love.
The moment Zoha and Adil visited Beldi Country Club they knew that they had to get married here. The Beldi Country Club is a rural rose farm on the outskirts of Marrakech city and is surrounded by mature gardens. A green oasis of charm, with its ancient olive trees, view of the gardens and the Atlas mountains, architecture a charming blend of Moroccan tradition and French design; this property left the couple amazed.
A close-knit band of 50 family and friends flew down to Marrakech for the celebrations. On arrival, they were showered with rose petals after which they made their way through the rose gardens, to the greenhouse for some drinks and entertainment by the local Gnaoua musicians.
Zoha and Adil’s wedding was preceded by a mehndi ceremony which took place inside the stunning Riad Boumliha. The bride wore a monochrome kurta and sharara in the shades of blue, enhanced with delicate silver embroidery. The groom, on the other hand, opted for a kurta and patiala which he paired with a blue dupatta to complement Zoha’s outfit. The function was replete with song and dance which created a festive mood at the venue. The decor was kept minimal and colorful cushions and Moroccan lamps were the key elements in the setup.
The couple wed in a ceremony at the Beldi Country Club, exchanging vows by day, against an arch created using olive branches, bright pink bougainvillaea and white roses. While the bride wore a voluminous white lehenga, the groom opted for a well-fitted blue suit.
After the ceremony, guests were escorted to the Moroccan lounge, decorated with colorful carpets, low tables, Moroccan pouffes, and cushions. Here they were served mint tea, virgin mocktails and canapés. Keeping in line with the theme of the wedding, the tables were decorated with olive branches, bougainvillaea and local white roses.
