Wedding Planning
Knowing how essential it is to have a team of reliable vendors at hand when planning a wedding, the duo roped in experts to guide them through the maze of tasks. To begin with, they chose Shreem Events to take charge of the planning, who quickly understood their vision from the start itself to orchestrate a stunning wedding that matched their dreams. Describing the planning that went behind the scenes and the challenges they faced while planning the wedding just after the lockdown was declared, Devanshi Patel, Founder of Shreem Events shares, “The couple’s haldi and Mehendi happened just after the lockdown was enforced. Prior to that, they had a couple of venues shortlisted for the events but once the lockdown came into the picture, they grew skeptical about the safety of it all. In the end, the decision was made to host these events in a holiday home on the outskirts of Mumbai. Overall, this worked in their favor because the bride was always keen on having one of her wedding functions at a holiday home of which she has several fond memories.”

The bride’s father, Bharat Shah gushes about his experience with Shreem Events, “We had an amazing experience with team Shreem Events! They did phenomenal work on everything, right from the planning to arranging the festivities. In the end, all of us were very happy with the way the celebrations unfolded.”

Taking charge of the decor was team Design HQ who understood the couple’s vision flawlessly. Using their expertise, they created an ambiance that put everyone in a cheerful mood as the haldi and mehndi events unfolded. Keeping an eye out for the smallest of details, decorators Design HQ gave the couple unforgettable memories that they’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Haldi
Hosted at the bride’s holiday home, the Haldi was surrounded by nature’s bounty and bathed in sunlight. Using traditional hues of orange and yellow, it was a mesmerizing event where everyone was at their playful best. Planner Devanshi shares, “Since we were amidst nature, the duo and their families were of the opinion that the entire event should be in sync with our surroundings. Keeping their preferences in mind, we made sure that there weren’t too many structures. Since the Haldi of the bride and groom was done separately, we ensured that their seating arrangements looked unique. Later on, the bride celebrated a phoolon ki holi with her family and friends.”

Mehendi
Taking on a more quirky turn, the Mehendi event boasted of off-beat elements that left everyone in awe. Devanshi shares, “To give the event a modern and colorful feel, we used quirky elements like the pink Masaba cow and furnishings like khaats with colorful pillows around the venue. Additionally, matchbox-shaped centerpieces adorned with artificial parrots further accentuated the theme. Filled with scintillating dance performances by team Lights. Camera. Dance, a group that the bride herself has co-founded, the event was a terrific hit!. A kadha, nostalgia, and DIY mukhwas counter was a big hit as everyone indulged themselves to the fullest.

Also, since we were on the outskirts of Mumbai, the transportation of the food items was a major undertaking. Hence, a fuss-free South Indian feast was spread out for the guests to devour. Safety protocols were strictly followed at every turn with temperature checks on entry and sanitization stations were equipped with masks and sanitizers. Since the destination was located on the fringes of the city, a lot of planning went into figuring out the transport logistics. But in the end, it all worked out for the best.”

Wedding
“For the wedding also, the venue had to be changed at the end moment, so we had to come up with innovative ideas on how to align our plans to the new venue. The decor team worked their magic to make the vision come to life. The bride on the other hand, had a specific song in mind for her bridal entry and also dedicated a heartfelt speech to her parents and her groom.”, shares Devanshi. Adorned with a pink floral mandap supported by gold latticework pillars, the wedding venue was bathed in sunlight and gave everyone a breathtaking view of the cityscape. Dressed in a pink and orange-hued lehenga, the bride glowed while the groom complemented her in a pale pink sherwani.
