Aastha and Ashish, Goa

An eclectic beachside mandap with delicate floral decor made this duo’s wedding a fun n’ breezy affair.

Ashish and Aastha met in Patiala amidst books and hectic classes as they were pursuing their undergraduate degree there. For them, the transition from dating to marriage was natural as they had always envisioned spending their lives together from the moment they started dating. Giving them a wedding they’d cherish for a lifetime, was WeddingSutra Favorite – Purple Truffle Event Planners who gave this couple a series of elegant yet fun-filled ceremonies on the shores of Goa.

How They Met
Ashish shares, “We met while studying together for our undergraduate degree at Thapar University, Patiala. For us, love blossomed quickly as we pursued our academic ambitions and somehow still managed to find time for each other. We always knew we’d end up together, right from the time we started dating!”

Wedding Venue
A beachside wedding in Goa was a mutual decision that motivated the couple to choose The Zuri White Sands Goa Resort and Casino. For them, the choice came as a welcome relief as they’d already checked out other resorts too, in search of the perfect location. Ashish goes on to share, “Both of us are beach lovers, so for us, a wedding in Goa was always on our minds. We visited the destination a year before the wedding and scoured several resorts while we were there. However, when we came across The Zuri White Sands Goa Resort and Casino, we instantly fell in love with the property and decided to get married there at that moment itself.”

Wedding Planning
Once the venue was locked in, it was time for the duo to move on to the daunting task of planning. Fortunately for them, they had a reliable team at hand with Purple Truffle Event Planners who made sure that everything went ahead without a hiccup. When quizzed about his experience with them, he gushed, “Purple Truffle Event Planners were exceptional with their constant support. Right from our first call that was a year before the wedding to the last wedding function, they were professional and tuned into our needs. Everything was executed just the way we’d imagined it.”

Completing their dream team was makeup artist Gaur Paswana and Gurleen who made sure the bride looked her best in every shot along with team Picsurely who captured all the moments from the wedding that the couple would cherish for a lifetime. The invites, however, were digitally created by Aastha and Ashish which was then hosted on a website.

Weddings Functions:

Mehndi
With a Rajasthani theme which included elements like embellished umbrellas and traditional puppets as wall hangings, the mehndi was a colorful and youthful affair. Seated under a multi-coloured canopy that shielded her and her guests from the sun, Aastha was seen glowing in a bright floral yellow embroidered lehenga. The decor also included floral accents which created a beautiful backdrop as the bride and groom watched their relatives make merry.

Pool Party
Taking fun to a new high was the pool party whose highlights included a giant Jenga and rain dance. As the couple and their loved ones sizzled under the bright yellow and pink canopy, they were showered with water which kept them cool under the Goan sun. No one was spared, even Aastha and Ashish’s parents joined in to show off their best moves. The giant Jenga game caused quite an uproar amongst the attendees as teams were made to compete with each other. Adequate provisions were also made to keep the guests going with fresh coconut water, bhutta and gola stands.

Sangeet
The sangeet was a glitzy affair held under the twinkling fairy lights which glimmered against the night sky. The decor was kept minimal with fairy lights, blossoms, and drapes dominating the party which was held in the sprawling lawns of the resort. Highlighting the occasion was a silent DJ that kept noise to the minimum but the spirits high.

Taking the glam quotient higher was Aastha in her blue embellished lehenga as she joined Ashish who wore a grey and silver kurta on the dancefloor.

Haldi
Staying true to tradition, the haldi ceremony was swathed in shades of orange and yellow as the bride and groom were doused in turmeric. Aastha dressed up in a hot-pink salwar kameez and adorned her braid with flowers, while Ashish wore a simple white kurta and pyjama. As the couple’s family and friends chilled by the poolside in the bright sunshine, all the traditions were followed with everyone exchanging gifts with each other.

Wedding
Ashish and Aastha’s big day was nothing short of magnificent as the duo’s dream of a beachside wedding came true. As the groom made his entry on a vintage car, everyone shook a leg to the beats of the dhol.

In a mandap that overlooked the sea, the couple took their vows under a white and gold canopy surrounded by delicate blooms and their loved ones. While Aastha glowed in a traditional red and gold lehenga, Ashish also wasn’t far behind in his ice blue embroidered sherwani.

Reception
The reception was a glamorous affair held at a spacious banquet hall with a dancefloor in the center. As Aastha and Ashish took to the dancefloor to perform their first dance as man and wife, their loved ones looked on adoringly. The decor had a particularly romantic vibe to it with delicate pink flowers and candles that were lit on each table.

The happy bride looked stunning as she twirled around in her red sequined gown and Ashish looked sleek in a black tuxedo.
