Abhra and Aditya, Amritsar
Adorned with bright red blooms and traditional brass bells, this couple’s wedding mandap was simply picture-perfect.
Hosted under the bright sky, Abhra Arora and Aditya Sarthak Singh’s wedding exuded traditional vibes and was punctuated by joyful moments. Showered by blessings as they celebrated their union, each event at this wedding brimmed with warmth and desi splendor.
How They Met
Abhra shares, “Aditya and me first met in college where our relationship took root. From then on, we’ve been together having completed seven years together. For us taking the plunge into marriage was an organic process and truth be told, we’ve been planning our wedding for the last three years. But, somehow, one roadblock after the other would come up and hamper our plans. When we finally got the chance to execute the wedding, the pandemic started. But determined to tie the knot this time, we decided to drive to my hometown in Amritsar to host the wedding. However, Aditya had a few plans of his own in mind as he popped the question in Udaipur where we stopped on our way to Amritsar!”
Equipped with a vision and a strong will to make their dreams come true, Abhra and Aditya started building their wedding squad with experienced vendors whom they could trust completely. Although, leading at the helm as planners was the bride herself and her mom who ensured that every detail lined up with their vision. Adding to their team was photographer Anoop Mahajan Shots, makeup artists The Salon by Marshmallow Cosmetics, invitation designers Exotic Invites, and decorators Stallion Events.
Swathed in hues of yellow and orange, the haldi followed a traditional route and was bedecked with marigold blooms. Sheltered under a sheer canopy of orange and yellow, Abhra radiated joy as all her loved ones slathered her with turmeric and playfully teased her.
Dressed in a bottle green zari lehenga which she paired with a bright pink banarasi dupatta, Abhra was the showstopper of the occasion as she twirled gingerly with her henna patterned hands held aloft. However, the highlight of her outfit was customized latkans on her lehenga that were embroidered with Aditya’s and her names.
Giving glamor a healthy boost, the Sangeet was hosted under a star-studded night sky where the duo and their families had a gala time shaking a leg on the dance floor. Furnished with a spacious stage, the venue was lit up by fairy lights and LED candles.
Encircled by lush greenery, Abhra and Aditya’s big day started off with a boisterous baraat where the groom came in seated atop a red vintage car grooving to the beats of the dhol. On the decor front, the event was adorned with blooms, white vases, and a wall filled with heartwarming pics of the couple throughout their dating years. Equipped with a circular mandap that gave everyone a clear view of the couple as they tied the knot, the event was peppered with heartfelt moments.
