Aditi and Saurabh, Goa

Swathed in red, white, and pink blooms, this couple’s beachside mandap looked straight out of a fairytale.

Surrounded by lush views of the Goan landscape and basking under the sunlight, Aditi and Saurabh’s love story found its ‘happily-ever-after’ moment in a wedding that expressed their vivacious personalities. From a color coordinated Haldi celebration to a colorful wedding ceremony, their nuptials were a treat for the eyes.

How They Met
Aditi shares, “Saurabh and I studied in the same undergraduate school for years but we never met even once during those four years. But, as fate would have it, I met him on graduation day which was the last day of college! It almost felt as if we were destined to meet, and soon we were in a relationship. However, a few months after graduation he had to leave for the U.S. for his masters, and somehow, we managed a year of having a long-distance relationship. Eventually, I too moved to the U.S. to pursue my master’s degree and be with him.”

The Proposal
Aditi shares, “I moved to the U.S and we dated for six and a half years before he popped the question. It was at Yosemite National Park where he knelt down in the snow and it was absolutely magical!”

Wedding Planning
In order to ensure that their wedding went ahead smoothly, the duo decided to rope in seasoned vendors who’d understand their vision with complete clarity. Aditi shares, “Even though planning the wedding from overseas was difficult, our parents were extremely supportive and thankfully, it all went exactly as planned.”

Weddings Functions
Haldi
Taking the traditional route, the Haldi decor consisted of yellow and orange marigold blooms that struck a delightful contrast against the blue sky. Additionally, a swing was also added to the decor where the bride sat with her girl squad surrounding her. Furthermore, neon-hued kites, bright cane baskets, and embroidered parasols added a pop of color to the celebrations. Aditi shares, “I wanted my Haldi to be as ethnic as possible and hence, decided that my family and bridesmaids should color coordinate their outfits in hues of yellow.”

Cocktail
Amping up the glamor stakes, the cocktail was a glitzy occasion hosted under the velvety dark night sky. Lit up by a plethora of golden fairy lights that twinkled merrily as the couple and their family celebrated the impending union, this occasion also witnessed the bride and groom shaking a leg to their favorite tracks. “For the cocktail, I wanted to feel as if there are stars surrounding me under the night sky, and, I’m so happy with the way it turned out with the fairy lights twinkling around us!”, shares the happy bride.

Ending their nuptials on a high note, the couple chose a classic beachside wedding ceremony from where they could gaze upon the serene shoreline of Goa.
