Akshita Vora and Piyush Bhansali, Rajasthan

Turning a barren plot of land into an oasis of colour, this couple’s regal wedding was an ode to their Rajasthani routes.

Akshita Vora, an event planner and Piyush Bhansali paid homage to their Rajasthani roots by hosting their wedding in their native village. Orchestrating a stunning union and a series of beautiful celebrations despite the logistical challenges of the venue was WeddingSutra Favorite – Dream Capture Events.

Wedding Planning
Mishal Sanklecha from Dream Capture Events shares, “During the meetings as the discussion went ahead, the couple wanted a unique wedding in their village in Rajasthan. The couple was keen on a raw, earthy look for the decor and once we understood their tastes we accordingly designed the decor. Honestly, there was a lot of hard work put in for this union by the entire team. It was a difficult venue with scarce resources in the radius of 200 KMS, we did 7 site recces and finalized our production team from Jodhpur. The road wasn’t great and the transport system was quite distant which made us extra careful about the delivery timings. Even the bridal entry was changed at the last moment but thankfully, everything was seamlessly handled!”

Bride Akshita shares, “I can’t thank team Dream Capture Events enough as they made my big day spectacular. They made the entire process magical by looking into the smallest details and promptly responding to every request. Even though the venue was challenging, they ensured the decor was everything I’d imagined it to be. Those five days, the team was constantly on their toes and, as a result, they pulled off our wedding so effortlessly!”

Carnival Of Love
Mishal shares, “The design story revolved around the ‘game of pastels’ theme with the venue being a barren plot of land. The entry décor of the carnival had 4 semi-circle arches painted in pastel hues. We used colours like Buff Orange, Yellow Iris, Cherry Blossom, and Mauve Mist for our ceiling treatment and semi-circle arches. This colour palette made the entire venue look particularly fresh. The stage was crafted to exude carnival vibes with a Ferris wheel and a Giraffe statue which is regarded as a symbol of love. We created contemporary lounge seating options in front of the stage and there were various game stalls for entertainment along with an illusionist.

Sangeet
Mishal shares, “The sangeet again was on an open plot of land where we constructed a 120*100 ft trussing and gave the guests a clear view of the sky. The entrance was designed as a tunnel of 40 feet and for the side walls we used crushed papers and silver glitter for a glamorous look. The floor of the entry tunnel was acrylic with tube light lighting up the pathway and a chrome ceiling. The sidewalls included the couple’s portraits which were alternated by mirrors.” He goes on to add, “We also produced a diamond-shaped heart, installed chrome sheets and added baby’s breath blooms for the couple’s backdrop. The side tables consisted of neon signage with the couple’s hashtag.”

Wedding
Mishal shares, “The big day was themed as the ‘royal affair’. The aim was to keep it simple and royal. Elegance was key in our design story and we installed an infinity structure with floral treatment. Fresh red roses and gold panels accentuated the backdrop.”
