Alisha Malhotra and Naman Narang commemorated the start of their journey with a grandiose celebration of love. Planned to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Plush Weddings, the stunning revelries saw vibrant décor, lively moments and immeasurable joy.
How they met
Alisha who hails from Shimla, and Naman who is based out of Delhi, first met when they were introduced to each other by mutual friends. Alisha was pursuing her studies at the time, and she met him just as she was about to leave for her native place sparking an instant connection between them. In just one meeting they were intrigued by each other, and then there was no looking back after they connected with each other over social media.
In a charming twist, Alisha popped the question to Naman at an intimate dinner with her entire family. Being driven to the venue by his brother, little did he know that the surprise bash that awaited him along with the 4 little precious words would change his life forever.
The wedding festivities were hosted across several luxury hotels in Delhi NCR, for which the couple entrusted the planning to Plush Weddings. They shared, “The team of Plush Weddings were extremely comfortable to work with and felt so much like family. They understood our vision and our requirements completely and were quick with interesting suggestions. Needless to say, they were super fun to work with”.
The decorations were executed by the team of Aura by Gautam Vedi, while their special moments were immortalized by Twogether Studios. The enchanting invites designed by Izhaar by Core Designs gave a beautiful view of the vibrant revelries.
The festivities kicked off with a glamorous engagement bash at Taj Palace New Delhi. Held at the Grand Ballroom, the decadent décor of blooms, candles, marquee lights and more, were bathed in a mystical red glow setting the mood for spirited revelries. The bride looked like a damsel in a stunning icy blue lehenga with scallop detailing, while the groom looked suave as he matched her in a velvet blue tuxedo.
The 1st night of wedding celebrations at the Trident Hotel Gurgaon started with a sundowner Mehndi. Orchestrated with a vibrant tropical theme, the occasion was decked with breathtaking floral décor, lights and a kaleidoscopic palette of colors. The bride matched the colorful décor in a charming multicolored lehenga and floral jewelry, while the groom’s mustard ensemble was high on fashion quotient. They started the evening amidst loud cheers and colorful puffs of smoke and went on to see spectacular performances by professional artists who specially performed for the appreciative audience.
The next morning began with a lively traditional Haldi ceremony in sunny hues of yellow. Under a canopy of yellow drapes and marigolds the couple was doused with turmeric paste and flower petals by their loved ones as they laughed, danced and made merry.
Set in jewel tones, gilded décor and gorgeous blooms in decadent hues of pink and purple, the evening pheras exuded grandeur. Flanked by his baraat, the groom arrived amidst great pomp and splendor while the bride made an enchanting entry under a phoolon ki chadar made of scarlet blooms. Dressed in coordinated outfits of blush with pops of sea green and blue, the couple was a portrait of love. Aptly highlighted by musical pheras by Ankit Batra, their nuptials were unforgettable.
The festivities came to a grand conclusion with an opulent Reception at JW Marriott. Velvet drapes, chandeliers and towering floral arrangements set the ambience for a night to remember, while the highlight was a colossal upside hanging cake suspended with crystals. The bride dazzled in a shimmering red and gold couture gown, while the groom looked elegant in a black Jodhpuri suit.
