Wedding Functions

Haldi
Seeking inspiration from local artisans and craftsmen of India, the Haldi ceremony was a sunny, vibrant affair designed with sustainable decor and South Indian influences for a cozy, rustic feel. The couple’s seating was surrounded by a plethora of fresh blooms and the walls behind them were flanked by unique handmade wooden dolls of musicians gotten from Varanasi juxtaposed against elements of brass, terracotta & potted palms. Traditional flowers in hues of yellow, white & orange found their way to stunning arrangements and rangoli designs to create a contemporary setting for the pre-wedding rituals.

Mehndi
Inspired by Ananthi’s love for all things pink, the design for the Mehendi was a plush mix of fabrics, colors & textures to create a delightful setting reminiscent of childhood visits to the local tailor. Bolts of fabric along with fine threads & buttons on peg boards set against vintage sewing machines & dressmaker dummies, colorful printed cushions, and spring blooms brought the theme to life creating a unique & cozy setting.

Post Wedding Lunch
Designed with intricately carved wooden paneling, shutters and doors set against Kolam motifs, rattan back furniture and brass bells with candle stands, the decor for Ananthi and Jeffrine’s post wedding lunch was reminiscent of a typical Chettinad household. A mesmerizing canopy of foliage dotted with cane basket lamps and fragrant tuberoses over a stunning flower pool with other plush elements tied it all together to give the guests an impression of walking into a cozy and inviting family home.
