Anesha and Ameet’s beautiful union was an extravagant celebration of their love meticulously planned by the couple themselves, at the Lalit Golf Resort and Spa in Goa.

Ameet and Anesha met at Cornell University. Their early partnership as dancers on their college Bhangra and Bollywood teams transcended into a partnership for life! Here, we share highlights from their beautiful nuptials in Goa.

How we met
Almost 10 years ago, Facebook had just come out but only the college kids knew about it. To the best of Ameet’s knowledge, it was totally acceptable to ‘friend’ classmates so he sent a request to Anesha who he’d never met but thought was really cute.

Ameet and Anesha messaged back and forth, mostly chatting about dance. When they finally met on campus, it was the very first day of college. They’d heard about the Cornell Bhangra team and had decided to try out. Ameet was 100% certain he’d make it, with not a sliver of doubt. Anesha felt equally confident, energetic, bold, and bright as well!

Both were selected, two of the very few freshmen on the team and that’s how it all began – their journey of friendship, hate, love, and everything in between! Through the course of their 4 years in college, Bollywood and dance was always the uniting factor, enough to get them through the ups and the downs, the tears and the laughter. Their friendship became stronger each year as they experienced many things together.

Wedding Venue
Ameet and Anesha were married at the Lalit Golf Resort and Spa, in Goa, India. They wanted their guests to really relax and what better way to do that than hire out a private beach resort totally dedicated to the #aneshAMEETsherhero festivities!

Splash Party

Bollywood & Beats
The sangeet was a dance party with true Bollywood flavor. Ameet and Anesha’s immediate family, parents, cousins, and friends all performed various dance numbers and the couple made an entrance to remember. With the lights shut down, they surprised the audience in night suits with a performance to “Yeh Raat Aur Yeh Doori.” The dress code was ‘Star-studded Shades’ and the colors were red, black, and gold. Anesha wore a custom-designed colorful brocade lehenga with jewellery by Tarun Tahiliani and Ameet wore a light blue kurta with dhoti pants.
