Ankit and Arunima’s wedding was the first destination one in their immediate families, and the couple set the right precedent with their regal festivities hosted in Hua Hin, Thailand. How They Met
Both Ankit and Arunima were strangers to each other till destiny brought them together. They met through their families via the traditional arranged marriage setup and got to know each other six months before they tied the knot in Thailand.

Wedding Venue
Ankit was the first one in his family to come up with the idea of a Thailand destination wedding to which Arunima instantly agreed. The venue chosen for this lavish affair which had a guest list of around 220 people was the Sheraton Resort & Spa, in Hua Hin. The awesome views, the luxurious accommodation for all, and the option of having a beautiful sunset beach wedding here with the scenic waves on one side and the pool on the other was unbeatable!

Wedding Planning
Guests were impressed by the wedding arrangements and execution. The groom’s uncle shares, “Foreign Wedding Planners made us feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire event. All the skills that are necessary for their field were very apparent throughout a process that can be intimidating and anxiety-ridden, especially when they came on board only three weeks before the event. Wedding Functions

Cocktail
With the simple yet elegant ‘Sparkle & Blush’ as their cocktail theme, the couple kick-started their wedding celebrations in high spirits. The event had a unique charm thanks to the mix of glittery and floral decor. The entertainment provided by dancers dressed as burlesque showgirls in elaborate outfits wowed all. For the soiree, the bride wore an off-shoulder white gown while the groom donned a suit. The highlight of the evening was the popular ‘Mr. & Mrs’ game, where the couple had to prove that they knew each other inside out.

Pool Party
The next morning a pool party was hosted at the hotel. The theme for the party went perfectly with Thailand’s vibe and weather with colors such as blue, white, green, and yellow brightening up the venue. Beautiful statues and sculptures were used to add a vacation vibe to the entire setup where guests relaxed, mingled and had fun.

Mehndi and Sangeet
The mehndi and sangeet ceremonies were held together in the evening. The festivities looked like a lively carnival with bright colors and vibrant elements adding to the excitement. The decor involved colorful umbrellas, an elaborate seating for the couple with an arc that featured a floral topiary of peacocks on either side. The colorful drapes and lights tied the whole theme together, giving the guests a truly memorable experience.

Wedding
Ankit and Arunima decided to have a beach wedding, and it looked nothing less than a dream come to life. Reds and orange hues were used to complement the sunset in the backdrop, and the skies obliged the couple by displaying stunning scenes for the nuptials. The arch set up for the garlanding ceremony was decorated with flowers, and the center of the arch had a chandelier dangling from the center while sparklers surrounded it. The pathway leading to the mandap was also decorated with beautiful blooms on either side, and petals on the red carpet. The bride’s shimmering gold lehenga and the groom’s matching beige sherwani for the pheras made them look like a royal couple.

Reception
The wedding was followed by a reception to celebrate the beginning of the couple’s blissful married life together. To give the reception a Western touch, rich hues of red were incorporated in the decor while gold added the requisite glittering aura to the environs.
