Ashti and Neel, Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Alibaug
Ashti and Neel’s vibrant varmala over a quaint bridge was amped up with colorful smoke bombs and dainty floral bouquets that adorned the wooden overpass.
Ashti and Neel tied the knot in an opulent ceremony hosted at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa in Alibaug. Mesmerizingly shot by WeddingSutra Favorite – Dreamcatchers Photography, every element of the wedding, right from the outfits to the venue to the decor, was curated with the bride’s personal touches and inputs.
How They Met
The bride says, “We met through a common friend, after which Neel and I just texted for a year. Our texts turned to calls and eventually meetings. It barely took us any time to realize that although we are poles apart, we are pieces of the same puzzle and fit together perfectly. It was me who popped the question to Neel, and he said yes!”
I had already imagined every detail of my wedding and knew exactly how I wanted it to be. It was the collective efforts from me, Neel, our friends and families that made this dream wedding possible. Glitz Events helped our ideas materialize and the end results were marvellous. Neel and I met Punit and Ashwini from Dreamcatchers Photography and instantly connected with them. That was one of the key reasons why we chose them to capture our special moments – apart from the fact that we found their work superb!
We wanted a venue that was just a drive away for our guests. I instantly fell in love with the Swimming Pool and Mango Deck at Radisson Blu Resort & Spa in Alibaug the moment I saw it. Neel and I were sure that we wanted to get married there.
“We kick-started our wedding festivities with a really fun pool party. The theme was ‘Mexican Fiesta’ and the decor was made up of super vibrant colors. We asked our caterers to adapt to the theme as well. They served lip-smacking Mexican delicacies,” says bride Ashti, who looked dazzling in her pink and blue summer outfit with a detachable skirt. Neel wore a sophisticated pink blazer along with a pair of black shorts to match the casual vibe of the party.
For the sangeet, Ashti wore a grey and sea-green lehenga designed by Arpita Mehta. Neel looked dapper in a black tux. The sangeet was an extravagant affair with a plethora of delicate fairy lights contributing to the decor. A spectacular stage was set up, providing enchanting backdrops for all the vibrant performances by the couple, their friends and families.
Ashti and Neel’s haldi ceremony had decor in bright shades of yellow and blue. Ashti says, “We wanted to keep the haldi decor slightly different from the conventional theme and picked bright marigold yellow and sky blue for the color palette. I didn’t want to wear a lehenga and also wanted something very colorful. So I paired baggy dhoti pants with a crop top and an attached drape, designed by Payal Singhal, along with statement earrings and hand accessories from Outhouse.”
Ashti and Neel’s traditional wedding mandap was decorated with fancy fairy lights. The ceremony began with the exchange of varmalas, which took place over a wooden bridge across the pristine waterbody of the resort. Colorful smoke bombs and dainty floral arrangements added to the whimsical beauty of the wedding ceremony.
