Avantika and Devansh, Kolkata
The bride’s trousseau was complete with exquisite pieces sourced from some of the industry’s top fashion designers.
Avantika and Devansh’s three-day wedding was a merry riot with an action-packed haldi and an evocative wedding. Check out some highlights of the lovely celebrations.
Avantika’s mehendi ceremony was an intimate function where there bride’s hands were inked with beautiful henna designs. A poignant affair, the function was all about the bride spending some heart-warming moments with her closest friends and relatives before the festivities began.
The Mehendi ceremony saw the bride wearing a simple green Shantanu Goenka suit that was adorned with a bright pink bandhani dupatta.
Avantika and Devansh wanted a day party for their sangeet. The vibrant decor for the function comprised of drapes, florals and a stage that glittered with mirror embellishments. With a no-breaks and no-anchoring sangeet, the friends and family members of the couple put together some exhilarating performances that were enjoyed by the guests basking in the winter sun. The highlight of the function were specially customized gas balloon shots that flew away in the horizon after the shots were taken.
The cocktail party was a fun night marked by lots of dancing to the DJ’s tunes. However, what stole the show were the talented bartenders who enthralled the guests with their cocktail tricks and special bride and groom drinks. The couple also had special chefs from Gujarat whip up some delicious early morning noodles and rare egg delicacies for the guests after they were exhausted by dancing all night.
The bride was resplendent in a glam navy blue gown designed by ace designer Gaurav Gupta. Dramatic twists and curls on the outfit added drama to her otherwise basic look kept simple with straight hair and pink-tinted lips.
Avantika and Devansh’s haldi was a boisterous affair. Their loved ones ensured that the couple was smeared from head to toe, not only with turmeric, but also milk, cold drink, juices and everything that they could get their hands on.
The pheras took place in a mandap that was designed by the bride herself using fresh roses. The groom walked in with his baraat accompanied by a talented flutist who enthralled the guests with his soothing tunes. The bride too entered with a melodious track being played in the back ground that she sang herself.
A pretty, heavily-embellished red lehenga played the perfect outfit of the day for the bride on her wedding. Designed by Anamika Khanna, the red ensemble boasted a dainty golden intricate embroidery, transforming Avantika into a perfect quintessential Indian bride.
