Charu and Vardhan, Bengaluru
An intimate pastel wedding full of fun, frolic and love at the iconic Conrad Bengaluru.
Grand yet intimate, Charu Periwal and Vardhan Dugar’s vibrant Marwari wedding celebration hosted at the beautiful Conrad Bengaluru was peppered with picture-perfect moments of the young couple and their loved ones. Catch glimpses of their revelries below.
How They Met
Family played cupid to Charu and Vardhan in bringing them together. Risk Consultant Charu felt an immediate connection with Vardhan, her mother’s best friend’s nephew and a Software Engineer by profession, and in just a few meetings the couple knew they wanted to spend their life with each other. Vardhan popped the question soon enough and they started planning for their beautiful wedding.
Planning a wedding amidst Covid regulations and travel restrictions ruled out having a destination wedding. The couple wanted to make the most of their city wedding and have a grand celebration, for which they chose the stunning venue of Conrad Bengaluru. With majestic decor and a contemporary feel, as well as luxurious rooms, services and all the necessary health and safety measures in place for a fuss-free safe experience, it was the perfect backdrop to their 3-day intimate wedding.
Charu shares, “Since the wedding happened around the start of the second wave of Covid, most of the decor arrangements, makeup and more for the pre wedding ceremonies were managed by us and our family who came together to help. With Love, Nilma set up the the beautiful mandap for the wedding ceremony, while Lubna was my makeup artist for the occasion. 1Plus1Studio captured all our special moments”.
Vibrant haldi ceremonies held separately for the bride and groom kicked off the wedding celebrations. The groom’s haldi was an intimate, upbeat affair at his family home with his close friends and family. The bride’s haldi was hosted at the hotel, for which beautiful decor of marigolds was set up by her family themselves. The bride and her whole entourage, in yellow attire, took over the stunning hotel lawns as they posed for a fun photoshoot amidst a shower of flowers.
The Sangeet function was an elegant ballroom affair, with minimal yet classy decor and lively revelries. The couple looked stunning in a ravishing red gown and tuxedo respectively for the occasion, and wowed the guests with their dance performance, before exchanging rings to loud applause.
The final and main event, the wedding ceremony, was a divine confluence of soft pastel decor and muted grandeur full of joyous family moments. Dressed in an elegant ivory sherwani, the groom arrived in a flower-decked buggy driven by his brother as his baraat danced around him, and was received by the bride’s mother in traditional Marwari manner. The bride was a vision in a pretty pastel pink lehenga as she entered under her phoolon ki chaadar. The mandap was minimal yet unique with a striking palatial backdrop flanked with floral pillars to match the decor, and made for a memorable setting for the couple’s nuptials. After the wedding, the group picture was turned into a fun shoot with the family members showering flowers on the newly married couple. The couple then left in the floral buggy to a warm send-off.
