How They Met
Chloe Ferns, a creative director at Balaji Telefilms, met Aslam, the founder of Think Realty Private Limited 18 years ago. They lived in the same colony and knew each other through common friends. It was love at first sight for the two, but they were young and shy to act upon it. But they always had a spark between them. They kept meeting at different intervals in life, but their relationship only progressed a year before they started seeing each other officially. It was at a friend’s birthday party that Aslam said to Chloe, “I don’t know why I’m saying this, but I have a feeling that our circle of love will complete.” They spent the next year getting to know each other before they started dating. Their courtship lasted for three beautiful years post which they tied the knot in Mumbai.

Wedding Venues
Chloe loves the beach and wanted all her venues to be facing the beach. Each venue and every single detail was given special attention. The ambiance and look of each venue was modified as per the theme and preferences of the couple to match their vision. Located in Mumbai, the venues included Kino Cottage, B Kitchen and Bar, St. Bonaventure Church and The Resort.

Wedding Planning
Aslam’s words – “Our circle of love will complete,” went on to become an integral part of their wedding planning. The couple even designed their logo with their initials entangled with each other and a circle enveloping them, depicting their love story. Coming from creative fields, the bride and groom didn’t hire an event planner and chose to plan all the festivities themselves. While they planned the celebrations, their friends from the events and entertainment industry brought to life their dream wedding. The couple brought Knotting Bells on board as their photographers, and talking about working with them, the bride shared, “Shrey Bhagat and the team brought our wedding to life for us and did justice to everything that we envisioned.”

Wedding Functions

Mehndi and Sangeet
The wedding festivities started on December 15, 2018, on a high note as Aslam and Chloe’s loved ones joined them for the mehndi and sangeet ceremonies. The functions were hosted at Kino Cottage in Versova and had the look of a Banjaara Rajasthani Village with a boho-Indian vibe.

The Cocktail Party
What followed the mehndi and sangeet festivities was a grand cocktail party hosted by Chloe’s mentor and one of Indian televisions biggest luminaries – Ekta Kapoor. The venue chosen for the function was B Kitchen & Bar in Juhu, and the theme for the night was ‘The Great Gatsby.’ The evening was a starlit affair with the who’s who of the television industry making an appearance to celebrate with the couple.

Church Wedding
Aslam and Chloe planned on honoring both their backgrounds and exchanged their vows in a white wedding at St. Bonaventure Church – a 15th-century church in Madh Island, Mumbai, which still retains its old world charm and earthy tones. The couple decided on having a sepia theme for the ceremony with no decor. For the nuptials, Chloe wore her mother’s 40-year-old wedding gown, and Aslam wore a deep blue suit. They had seven bridesmaids, and seven groomsmen as seven happens to be both their birthdates and lucky number.

Beach Wedding
The nuptials at the church were followed by a beach wedding that was a dream come true for Chloe. The couple got hitched once again that very evening with a beautiful all-white beach setup at Madh Island right outside their hotel – The Resort.

Reception
The couple and wedding guests then moved onto enjoy a charming reception which has a ‘Victorian Vintage’ theme. The decor was white with simplistic rustic elements that added both elegance and glamour. The idea behind the theme was to bring the ambiance of the ballroom to the open lawns.

Nikkah and Reception
The same night, Aslam and Chloe married each other in a traditional Nikkah ceremony honoring Aslam’s heritage and culture. Chloe chose a lehenga in the traditional green color while Aslam wore an ivory sherwani. Right after the ritual, was the grand reception which brought all of the couple’s friends and family members to celebrate the auspicious occasion. Many famous personalities attended the reception including Ekta Kapoor, Jitendra Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Karan Patel, Anita Hassanandani, Vikas Gupta, Ritvik Dhanjani, Surbhi Jyoti, Pearl V Puri, Shabir Ahluwalia and Kanchi Kaul.
