Daisy and Jason, Mumbai
An impressive wedding cake celebrated this couple's profession as pilots and their passion for flying.
Daisy and Jason’s whirlwind romance began when they were working for the same airline. Their Mumbai wedding, included charming nuances of their romantic journey. Bride Daisy shares some highlights here.
How They Met
Daisy and Jason, both pilots by profession, first crossed paths while working for the same company, where daisy was a commander and Jason had newly joined as a first officer. Daisy reminisces, “The fact that I was officially Jason’s senior in the company never stopped him from wooing me. Even though we started out as good friends, I soon fell for his confidence, charm and kindness. In a span of just 18 months I went from “He is my junior” to “He is the one!”
“Since we started dating Jason and I had never flown together, so finally when we were rostered together on a flight it was special occasion. After the flight he insisted that he drop me home, and I entered to find the apartment filled with flowers, candles, fairylights and balloons hung with our photos. I turned around to see him kneeling on the floor with a ring in his hand, and the moment I said ‘Yes,’ our friends came out of hiding to surprise me and celebrate with us.”
Zeus Entertainment was entrusted to plan and execute the wedding and reception festivities to perfection, while the Intrepid Frames team captured all the tender and special moments for eternity. The cake was beautifully customized by Toujours Bakery, which held special significance for the couple as the bakery had previously also made the cake for the wedding of the Jason’s parents.

Following the exchange of vows, the dinner was an elegant soiree hosted at St. Anthony Club in Chembur. The romantic decor included white and gold tones, pastel blooms and warm lighting. Daisy wore a layered princess ball gown from MORILEE by Madeline Gardner, while Jason looked dapper in a custom-made tuxedo by Raymond Made to Measure. The groomsmen and bridesmaids donned coordinated beige suits and purple dresses respectively with elegant boutonnieres and corsages. The couple entered to a grand display of cold pyro after which followed a night of merriment. The highlight however was the magnificent five-tier flight themed cake which featured a plane in every layer, and was topped with figurines of a man and lady seated on top of a white plane. This charming creation was to showcase the couple’s love for flying.
Advice for Couples
“Our only tip would be to make sure you enjoy your big day. Things might not always go as planned and there will always be a ‘This could have been done better moment,’ but the key is to not dwell on it and just enjoy the day.”
