Dikshita and Abhay, Four Points by Sheraton Mahabalipuram Resort
Inspired by the beauty of Sheesh Mahal - this couple’s wedding sported regal elements with a rich jewel-toned color palette.
Combining the best of both worlds, traditional as well as contemporary – Dikshita and Abhay’s wedding in Mahabalipuram was a spectacular celebration. Planning this union was WeddingSutra Favorite – Weddingz By Mindz who with their expertise didn’t miss a beat as they orchestrated unique events.
Wedding Planning
Himanshu Kothari from Weddingz By Mindz shares, “The couple was quite keen on having a wedding that didn’t look like the ones they’ve attended before. So the brief was mainly to stand out from the rest and match the vibe of the bustling city of Chennai.”
Weddings Functions
Haldi
Akansh B Jain from Weddingz By Mindz shares, “The first and as usual the most fun event was the haldi. The show started with a flash mob entry along with the colour crackers in the background. It was followed by engaging activities with the emcee. After this, a Dj based band took over the crowd while a floral-based haldi took place for the to-be-weds.
Sangeet
Himanshu shares, “The theme was ‘digitally yours’ and we did our best to amp up the glamour levels for the evening. After some amazing performances from the family, the couple entered in a stylish red car on stage in a grand fashion. Decorated with pampas grass, mirror work elements and LED lights – the venue exuded a dance-club-like vibe while staying elegant.”
Wedding
Akansh shares, “The next day, the Jain wedding celebrations began with a high-energy baraat that consisted of a mobile DJ and dholis. The jaimala took place in the hall while the couple was flanked by dancers as they made their entry. Themed around ‘sheesh mahal’, the wedding sported regal decor and the phere took place at midnight under a floral mandap.”
