Esha Jain and Pratik Mehta, Savera Resort, Rajasthan
Dancing Krishnas accompanying the couple onto the mandap, the violin playing in the background… this wedding was truly surreal
For their two-day wedding, Esha Jain, who is pursuing a career in graphology, and Pratik Mehta, a second-generation entrepreneur currently leading and expanding his family’s footwear manufacturing and distribution business, wanted a celebration that was personal and elegant. Their dream was brought to life by WeddingSutra Favorite – Dream Capture Events, who both planned and designed the celebrations, with WeddingSutra Favorite – Shutterbug Filming Company, perfectly capturing each moment.
Wedding Planning
Esha says, “We wanted the decor and vibe across all events to feel elegant, warm and personal—celebratory yet tasteful. Our aesthetic leaned towards minimal yet festive, with a focus on earthy tones and soft lighting. We also wanted an experience that was enjoyable and comfortable for our guests.
For the Sangeet, the couple skipped the old-school, long-format performance. They staged a short couple performance, with a surprise proposal moment, complete with a magical ring entry from above. Then, they jumped straight into the party with a live band, followed by an afterparty.
Mishal Sanklecha of Dream Capture Events says, “As wedding planners, it’s always a joy to bring a couple’s unique story to life—and this celebration was nothing short of spectacular. Spanning two days of vibrant events, each function was designed around a distinct theme that reflected not only the couple’s personalities but also the emotional journey of their union.”
Wedding Functions
Haldi
The wedding festivities began with a cheerful and sun-drenched Haldi ceremony themed ‘The Summer Bloom’. The decor featured an explosion of yellow, orange, peach, white and green florals. For the guests, there were a range of single and multi-player carnival games, including a treasure hunt where the guests had to fetch items that the bride and groom wanted, a Bollywood dialogue game and a WWE-style bathrobe balloon-bursting contest. The games were hosted by WeddingSutra Favorite – Glenn Saldanha.

Sangeet
The ‘Crimson Love’-themed sangeet was an ode to glamour and passion. There was a palette of deep reds, black, off-white and green, creating a rich and romantic setting under the stars.

Wedding
The wedding had an ‘Infinity & Beyond’ theme. This concept was woven into every element of the design, symbolizing the limitless journey the couple was embarking on together.
For the Varmala, the couple had discussed a Krishna-themed entry—dancing Krishnas brought them onto the stage, creating a surreal, beautiful moment.
The couple also wanted the ceremony to be engaging for their guests, so the priest explained each vow and ritual to the audience in real time—with a mix of tradition and light-hearted humor.
In the background, was the magical music by violinist Sandeep Thakur, adding depth, grace and emotion to the entire ceremony.
