Eshita and Vaibhav, Radisson Blu, Karjat
This summery outdoor wedding featured vibrantly-hued decor that exuded warm and sunny vibes.
Eshita and Vaibhav’s wedding celebrations were a bright and happy affair in a refreshing al fresco setup. The venue was adorned with an array of flowers and quirky decor. The couple’s beautiful moments together were wonderfully captured by WeddingSutra Favorite – Movie’ing Moments. Bride Eshita shares the highlights their stunning sunset ceremony and other functions.
How They Met
“Vaibhav and I met five years ago through a mutual friend in Delhi. We instantly hit it off and met a few more times before he left for Australia. It never felt like a long-distance relationship because he travelled back to India every second month to meet me. When we started discussing marriage, Vaibhav told me that there is no other person he wanted to be with and so our wedding preparations began.”
“We decided that the Radisson Blu in Karjat would be our wedding destination. While Vaibhav’s parents wanted a wedding in or around Mumbai, my parents wanted a destination wedding. The location of this property met all our criteria.”
“From the time we began discussing marriage, we decided that we would pay respect to both our cultures equally. Vaibhav is a Maharashtrian and I’m a Marwari. All the events were planned such that traditions from both our cultures were included for our guests to witness. We also made sure that the pre-wedding functions were full of dance and music!”
The mehendi ceremony was a fun event, followed by a cricket match between the bride’s and the groom’s family. Held outdoors, the vibrant decor lent a charming summer vibe to the venue. There was a canopy with colorful drapes for guests to cool off under, with marigold decorations adding a nice traditional touch. Colorful trunks and tea kettles added to the charming, unique decor. There were large white frames adorned with flowers, which made the ideal props for quirky photo sessions for the couple and their guests.
Sangeet and Cocktail Party
The sangeet and cocktail party took place in the evening. It was a glamorous affair that was kickstarted with song and dance performances that kept guests thoroughly engaged and entertained.
The haldi decor consisted of traditional ochre shades. The bride and groom each followed the traditions of their own cultures, with both having to endure turmeric being smeared on their faces.
The Maharashtrian ceremony was held at sunset. The groom made a grand entry on a horse with his baraat. He made his way to the mandap that was by the pool, adorned in white blooms and drapes. The bride looked magnificent in a heavily-embellished lehenga, while the groom impressed in a beige sherwani – both of them donning the traditional mundavlya.
