Gayatri and Ronak at Sanskriti Greens, Chattarpur, Delhi

In our new series ‘Featured Weddings’ we’ll be regularly sharing photos of weddings held at the finest venues in different cities. In the first story of the series we featured Haina and Bipin’s wedding at Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai (click here). And from Mumbai, we move on to shaadi capital Delhi to feature a wedding that took place at some of the most amazing outdoor venues there. Gayatri Khanna, daughter of a prominent Delhi-based Jeweller tied the knot with Ronak Sekhri, the owner of Duraflex Infra Roads. The newly wed couple are the co-founders of Pomegranate, a firm that provides architectural and interior design services.

Each of the venues for Gayatri and Ronak’s wedding celebrations were transformed by famed Delhi-based wedding decor designers Gautam and Divya Vedi. The celebrations kicked off with a Black Tie Party at Radhey Mohan drive in Chattarpur. The venue was decorated with ostrich feathers, candles, florals, and intricate rope dressing on the marque structure in colors of blue, black and white. Says Gayatri, “In sync with the theme, we designed a sheesha lounge for our guests to hang out, and a photo booth set up with a picture of London as the backdrop.” The next evening, the Mehndi/Dholki night took place at Anand Niketan. The venue was done up with floral chandeliers, and cascading ceiling flowers in yellow, orange and white colors for an ethnic look and feel.

The wedding was held at Sanskriti Greens, Chattarpur. The theme was pink, peach and white and the mandap was decorated with bunched up seasonal flowers.

After the wedding ceremony, the guests were escorted into a white-on-white tent for the wedding reception. Long tables were set for a feast. Gautam and Divya Vedi closely worked with Gayatri to design three different installations, each with a scented garden of all-white flowers like lilies, hydrangeas, orchids, roses and rajnigandha flowers. Says Gayatri, “The first installation featured a white flower wall where Ronak and I stood to welcome guests. For the second, Gautam and Divya built a tree with floating flowers and custom-made crystal hangings, topped with masses of blooms. This tree was the center of a large island bar, around which our guests enjoyed their cocktails. The third installation were rows of floral pillars at the entrance decorated with green moss and seasonal flowers.” The couple had an impressive host of entertainers at the Reception- famous ‘Baby doll’ singer Kanika Kapoor, world class performing Violinist, DJ, and Artist D-Sharp, DJ Bhavik and Jonqui, the renowned percussionist, who together marked the grand finale of Gayatri and Ronak’s big day.
