A sunlit mehndi, a glitzy cocktail and a phere ceremony at a private farmhouse - this couple’s union was close-knit yet spectacular.
Exuding grandeur at every turn along with a sense of warmth, Arjun and Gouri’s wedding in New Delhi was a beautiful celebration where their love took the centre stage. How They Met
Arjun and Gouri’s journey of love began at a birthday party. Arjun shares, “We first met at a mutual friend’s birthday celebration. Honestly, as the night passed on, we didn’t speak much. But as I was saying my goodbyes and preparing to exit the party, Gouri asked me, very politely, if I could stay a while longer. How could I say ‘no’? I stayed on and then after a night filled with revelry, we both made our way back to our respective workplaces. And, after a couple of hours, I sent her a message on a social media platform which then led to three years of dating!”
Wedding Planning
Capturing their lovable moments were LensEyeZia Productions who impressed the couple with their skills. Gouri shares, “A wedding is only as magical as the team behind it. And we are glad that we chose LensEyeZia Productions as our photography team for our December wedding.
All of our special moments, be it the romantic moments, the chaos, the turmoil or the emotions, were beautifully captured by the team who not only gave us a treasure trove of memories but also gave us enough space to savour them. Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Basking in the bright sunshine, the mehndi event was a joyful one where everyone put up their henna-patterned palms to dance to the beats of the dhol. Rambling on the lush lawn and making the most of their time out in the greenery, the couple shared many adorable moments!
Cocktail
Glitzy and decorated in dark hues like teal, magenta that were shot through by metallic gold hues, the cocktail party had everyone descend on the dancefloor. As LED candles and numerous chandeliers cast a golden glow on everyone, the guests popped bottles of champagne and celebrated the couple’s impending union.
Haldi
The Haldi was minimally decorated and hosted in the morning on the wedding day. With Gouri wearing a simple kurta set, her bridal squad was at their playful best as they slathered her with turmeric and showered her with flower petals.
Wedding
Gouri shares, “Our wedding was hosted at a private farmhouse which was turned into fairy land with twinkling lights! The phere took place in the evening under the starlit sky and we were so glad that it was a small celebration with the closest in our circle around us.”
Reception
A few days after the wedding the reception was hosted at a posh hotel on a weekend. On the decor front, the couple went all out as they amped up the glamour levels with gold-themed decor, exotic dancers and innovative light installations.
