Gunjan and Anudit, Tivoli Garden Resort Hotel, Chattarpur, New Delhi

Bride Gunjan designed her mehendi ensemble from scratch. The same creativity was evident in her wedding ceremonies to Anudit at a New Delhi hotel.

They first connected thanks to their families, but Gunjan and Anudit’s true connection deepened before they tied the knot. Check out the special moments from their wedding celebrations held at the Tivoli Garden Resort Hotel in Chattarpur.

How We Met
“Ours was an arranged marriage but I would like to call it a love marriage. Our parents met and made us exchange our numbers. Anudit was in the US and I was in New Delhi at that time. We started talking over Whatsapp initially. The first time we spoke over the phone we ended up chatting for over an hour. Gradually our one-hour calls turned into two and three hour-long chats, and we would also connect on Skype every weekend. By March we had not yet met face to face, but somehow we were sure about each other. Anudit flew to India in April for some work and we met twice at that time, and on the third day, we made it official. That was the day I met his family for the first time. After that everything happened on its own.”

Wedding Functions

Engagement
The vibe of the engagement function was simple and sophisticated. Gunjan wore a dazzling pink outfit with beautiful details on it by Di Moda. It was an intimate, family-only event.

Mehndi
“For our mehndi ceremony, my side of the family wore peach and Anudit’s side wore green. I wore a gorgeous mint green lehenga with a pink dupatta, and Anudit wore a peach kurta which he paired with white trousers and a light beige blazer. My outfit was self-designed as I selected the fabric for the lehenga, blouse and dupatta myself. I also wore purple floral jewellery for this event. The function was hosted outdoors and was entirely decorated with orange and yellow florals.”

Wedding
“The wedding was hosted in a glamorous yet traditional setup. Our guests were very impressed with the fabulous decor which included floral accents and gold. Even the gold/champagne chairs looked dramatic and picturesque.” Gunjan looked every bit of a queen in her deep crimson lehenga with a net dupatta and gold thread work all over, and Anudit matched her look in his ornate sherwani in similar colors and a standout ‘safa’ (turban).
