Hiral and Sahil Patel first crossed paths through an arranged marriage setup where a single meeting was enough to get sparks flying. Surrounded by their loved ones, their home-based union expressed their vivacious personalities as it brimmed with color and joy! Planned and decorated by WeddingSutra Favorite – Shana Namrata Events who used their creative talents to orchestrate a vibrant celebration, this wedding was the perfect example of a contemporary wedding executed with a traditional twist.
Wedding Planning
Acknowledging the importance of having a skilled wedding planner in their squad, the duo roped in Shana Namrata Events who quickly comprehended their vision with complete clarity. Pleased by how their dream was brought to life so effortlessly by the planning team, the couple happily shares, “Working with Shana Namrata Events was amazing! At each step of the way, they felt like a part of our family even as they guided us through the labyrinth of tasks that usually crop up during a wedding. We wanted a vibrant celebration that was modern yet traditional. Weddings Functions
Garba Night
Sheltered under a vast colorful canopy, the guests danced freely to their heart’s delight at the Garba Night which spurred everyone to let their hair down as they celebrated the couple’s upcoming union. Namrata Patel, Co-Founder at Shana Namrata Events shares, “The garba night was incredibly important for the couple and their families. So to ensure that everyone was thoroughly impressed, we pulled all the stops with a vivid traditional theme that included around 7000 diyas, 3000 bulbs and statues of deities that glowed in the dark.”
Grah Shanti
Hosted at the same place as the garba night, the grah shanti consisted of a huge guest list. Explaining the quick transformation that her team brought about at the venue, Namrata shares, “Since the grah shanti was to be hosted at the same venue, we had to be extremely quick in changing the decor. From the glamorous garba night theme, we changed the entire look to minimalistic and floral for the grah shanti literally overnight. All hands were on deck as the change was quickly made within a span of nine hours!”
Haldi
Intimate, boisterous and colorful, the Haldi event that was held under a sheer canopy flaunting a multitude of events which were steeped in simple elegance, unleashed everyone’s playful side as family members took turns smearing the groom with bowls of turmeric paste.
Wedding
Bathed in hues of green and white, the couple’s big day brimmed with delicate blooms and foliage. Beginning with a boisterous baarat where the groom walked in flanked by his family, the wedding exuded grandeur. Additionally, the bride also made a bold statement with a stylish entry seated atop a chariot.
However, the highlight of the wedding was the elegant white and green-hued mandap. Decorated with crystals, chandeliers, and white blooms it looked straight out of a fairytale and it blended in perfectly with the lush surroundings.
