Hitika and Divyank, Jaipur
Unique themes, dazzling attires and exciting celebrations were the order of the day for this Jaipur wedding.
The saying, ‘never judge a book by its cover’ aptly describes the rollercoaster journey of Hitika and Divyank’s love story. What started with an unremarkable first date, ended up being the real thing, and the couple commemorated their love with a royal wedding in Jaipur that was planned and executed to perfection by WeddingSutra Favorite – Desert Pearl Entertainment. The bride shares their story below.
How they met
The bride shares, “The first time Divyank laid eyes on me during our training, he told his friends, “that is the girl I am going to be with”. However, ironically, our first date ended up being disappointing as we didn’t really hit it off with each other and we stopped talking for a while. Destiny is a funny thing though, as after parting ways post our training, we realized how much we wanted to be with each other.”
The couple envisioned a royal destination wedding, and no place transcends the regal beauty of Jaipur. They also wanted a place that would be comfortably accessible for both their families who were coming from Punjab and Madhya Pradesh, and they found their perfect venue in the JW Marriott Jaipur Resort & Spa. The beautiful indoor and outdoor venues and impeccable services made it the ideal location for their wedding.
The couple shares, “We knew that planning the wedding was not going to be an easy task specially with both of us busy in our respective jobs, and we needed someone who could comprehend all our needs, then take over and plan the wedding to perfection. As soon as we met the team from Desert Pearl Entertainment, we knew that we could trust them to bring our dream to life.”
The gorgeous moments from the wedding were captured by Joint Productions, while their invitations were custom made by WeddingSutra Favorite – Izhaar by Core Designs.
The festivities kicked off with a charming Sufi night with melodious tunes, colorful décor and lanterns lending a magical look and feel to the event. The bride donned a rich velvet outfit with Mughal inspiration which was designed by her friend, while the groom looked dapper in green.
The next morning started with a fun-filled Haldi Ceremony with love, laughter and lots of flowers at the Sunderban Lawn. The lively decor of citrus hues and greens brightened up the space. The couple wore shades of orange to compliment the decor. All the guests enjoyed the Phoolon Ki Holi (flower shower) with the loved-up couple.
The colorful afternoon began with the mehndi ceremony at the Hawa Mahal Terrace. The myriad colors shone in the sunlight as Rajasthani music and dancers set an idyllic mood. The couple dressed in vibrant outfits by Akanksha Gajria for this function.
The glamorous evening took place at the Vikramaditya Ballroom. As per the bride’s vision, the décor of red and black exuded a Moulin Rouge vibe. The couple resonated the glamour with stunning outfits by Suneet Varma.
Hosted at the Sunderban Lawn, the English Carnival was a sun kissed affair in hues of yellow and green with an abundance of blue pottery adding a striking pop of color. The couple donned stunning ensembles of blue and white, perfectly matching the mood and vibe of the event.
Being huge fans of Bollywood, the couple always dreamt of a traditional royal wedding, but also wanted something unique, so they tied the knot with a spectacular Banaras Ghat themed wedding. The adventurous bride decided to skip the traditional red and pink colors and went for a stunning green lehenga instead.
For the final Reception at the Vikramaditya Ballroom, the couple kept it minimalistic and elegant in soft hues of peaches and whites.
