Isha and Inpreet, Mexico
Surrounded by stunning views of the Mexican coastline this couple’s wedding set the bar high with its jaunty elegance.
Isha and Inpreet first encountered each other through a dating app which led to numerous phone conversations. Emboldened by the instant connection between them, the duo decided to meet up and since then, there was no looking back for the duo. Hosted in Cancun, Mexico their wedding was a feast for the eyes as the couple celebrated their union in the lap of nature.
How They Met
Isha shares, “Inpreet and I first met through a dating app and we instantly felt a connection. This led to numerous phone conversations and eventually, we decided to meet. Funnily enough, our first date was at Disneyland where we both enjoyed ourselves freely. From that day itself, I knew that I was in it for the long haul.”
“After much thought, we chose The Grand at Moon Palace Cancun, Mexico for our nuptials. It’s an absolutely gorgeous property and the best part is that it caters to every age. Also, they have a speakeasy that serves some phenomenal cocktails! Since we had a lot of our family accompanying us, Indian food was a priority and we were in luck since the venue had an Indian chef who catered to all our needs.”, shares Isha.
Acknowledging the importance of having expert vendors at hand to make their nuptials a success, the duo decided to bring together a team of professionals on whom they could rely blindly. This consisted of photographers I Alam Photography, videographers Vivid Media, makeup artist and hairstylist Baljit Gill Artistry, planners Destawed, DJ Spin Singh and emcee MD Aujla, who together, made sure that the couple and their families experienced an unforgettable union.
“To begin with, we arranged an ‘all-white’ themed welcome party in order to break the ice. Since many of our guests were flying in from different destinations, we tried to make sure that the majority of the guests were present for the party. Keeping the theme in mind, everyone was dressed up in white attire as they sipped on cocktails at the speakeasy.”, shares Isha.
“The maiyan was a small function and keeping that in mind, we went down a simple route decor-wise. Our maiyan took place side by side and it was an incredibly peaceful occasion which took place in a gazebo overlooking the ocean. Since it was a close-knit affair, we were at complete ease and had a great time bonding with our loved ones.”
“Hosted on the rooftop of the resort, our Sangeet followed a pink and orange color palette that glowed brightly under the night sky. Accompanied by the sounds of the ocean and surrounded by the salty breeze, we had a blast shaking a leg to our favorite tunes. Our families, especially, were the highlight of the event as they conducted special performances for us.”
“Since the venue itself was incredibly beautiful, we let nature take center stage by going easy on the decor. For our phere, we again chose the scenic gazebo which gave us stunning panoramic views of the ocean. And, accentuating the setup were fresh pink and white blooms that glowed under the sunshine. For us, it was a surreal moment as we made promises for life surrounded by such natural beauty.”
“Our reception was filled to the brim with great food and dancing! Delicate floral arrangements adorned the hall and the celebrations were kicked off with a graceful acrobat dancer serving drinks to all our guests while being suspended from the ceiling. For Inpreet and me, it was a memorable evening as we celebrated our union basking in the joy of our family and friends.”
Advice For Couples
“I would highly recommend getting a wedding planner on board. For us, the planning process began almost a year before the wedding and our planners were incredibly insightful with their suggestions. Not even once did I have to fuss about the small things and I had complete peace of mind as the nuptials went ahead. Secondly, I would also urge everyone to consider a destination wedding since it also doubles up as a getaway for your family. All of us had so much fun as we rambled along the coast of Mexico experiencing the new sights.” advises Isha.
