Jahnvi and Sahil, Mumbai
Surrounded by the gentle sea breeze and heritage architecture, this couple’s wedding at The Taj Mahal Palace was a serene and romantic affair.
Jahnvi and Sahil first met each other on a fateful blind date that lasted for hours and from then on, there was no looking back. With their wedding and reception hosted at The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai where the couple could breathe life into their vision with all the vast spaces the venue granted them, this wedding was nothing short of a fairytale.
How They Met
Jahnvi shares, “Sahil and I first met through a common acquaintance and had our first blind date. Initially, we were supposed to meet on a different day but since he’d had a dental procedure, his face was completely swollen and we had to postpone the date. Finally, we met up and the date went on for hours and even included us having some vada pav on the street!”
The Proposal
“It happened in London where I was visiting my brother. So to make sure we had a good time, we invited Sahil too and planned an elaborate pre-wedding photoshoot that would take us more than half a day. We went to our first location in front of the London Eye with my family accompanying us and as the camera started clicking, he went down on one knee!”, recalls Jahnvi.
Wedding Venue
Knowing the importance of having a wedding venue where their vision could come to life, the duo chose The Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai that fit the bill perfectly for their wedding and reception with its luxurious interiors paired with vast spaces. Additionally, the couple also chose Kino Cottage for the cocktail party and The St. Regis Mumbai to host their Haldi and Sangeet functions.
Wedding Planning
With their venue chosen, the couple then set about forming their wedding squad that consisted of seasoned vendors to guide them through the rollercoaster process of planning the wedding. Leading at the helm were planners Meraki Luxury Events along with photographer Isrrani Photography, makeup artists Makeup by Pam, Makeup Mafia, and Doll you up by S, and hairstylist Ritika Kadam.

Sangeet
“The Sangeet was high on glitter and contemporary elements that added glamor to the night. With a custom made neon sign reading ‘Happily ever after’ in the backdrop, everyone had a blast on stage as they danced to their favorite tracks. Additionally, the entrance also consisted of a wishing tree where people could put in wishes for us.”
