With Bollywood musical legends serenading the guests, singer Jai Bhattacharya’s sangeet was a peppy and glamorous event.
Hosted in Goa, the union of Meghna Sahijwani, content creator and stylist, with singer Jai Bhattacharya, son of famed Bollywood singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya was soaked in luxury.
A star-studded affair attended by the biggest names in the Indian music industry like Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, and Anu Malik, this wedding took the cake when it came to glamor. Planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Castles & Coasters, the wedding was meticulously executed keeping the couple’s tastes in mind, while celebrity entertainer DJ AJ took the excitement and energy of the festivities to another level. How they met
Childhood sweethearts, Meghna and Jai grew a liking for each other back when they were in the eighth grade. Although life challenged them in many ways, their relationship boat rocked amidst two years of turbulence, post which they got back together and have been inseparable ever since! While being together between 2009 and 2021 might not have been a smooth sail, Meghna and Jai’s enduring love triumphed after all!
Wedding Planning
Creativity at its best, Meghna and Jai’s wedding was a perfect expression of their artistic personalities. To make sure their wedding went smoothly and exactly as envisioned, they roped in planners Castles & Coasters who left no stone unturned in their quest to execute a flawless event. Namha Malhotra, Founder of Castles & Coasters gives us an overview of the planning process, “Despite several hurdles due to the pandemic, Meghna and Jai overcame every obstacle with sheer determination! Meghna, from the beginning itself, was extremely clear with what kind of wedding she wanted and she made sure to include elements that represented their love story in every function. After all, it’s a childhood romance! Planning their wedding was a smooth process as they were flexible, easygoing and knew exactly what they wanted.”
Shrey Bhagat, co-founder of Knotting Bells goes on to share, “Despite the present situation, we were able to pull off a successful wedding while having all safety measures in place. Yes, it was a roller coaster journey but in the end, we captured some beautiful moments. Meghna, being a gracious bride patiently gave us plenty of time, which in turn resulted in stunning bridal portraits! This wedding had a lot of photographic moments, and it was one of the most eventful ones we’ve captured.”

Weddings Functions
Mehndi
Basking under the sun while exuding terrific vibes, the mehndi was a laid-back event where everyone danced to the beats of the Dhol and got henna patterned on their hands. A beautiful swing decorated with delicate blooms, the decor was minimalistic which accentuated the natural beauty of the venue.
Sangeet
Commencing with the bride and groom exchanging rings while their families cheered them on, the sangeet was off to a joyful start. With Bollywood’s musical legends like Kumar Sanu, Sonu Nigam, and Anu Malik giving stellar performances, the guests were treated to an enchanting night filled with music and dance. The bride’s squad also had model and fashion influencer Sakshi Sindwani who set the stage on fire as they performed to their favorite tracks.
Haldi
Decorated with rustic as well as traditional elements, the Haldi followed both Bengali and Sindhi traditions. Peppered with bright marigolds, banana leaves and comfy cane furniture, this event witnessed everyone at their playful best.
Wedding
Hosted under a starry blanket in the sky and lit up by the glow of delicate fairy lights, the wedding looked straight out of a storybook with its minimalistic decor. A stunner in her pale pink and silver embroidered lehenga, Meghna looked radiant as she posed with her gal pals while Jai complemented her in an off-white sherwani.
