The vibrant 2-day wedding extravaganza of Jennita Shah, owner of Miso.Inc and Nikhil Relan in the heart of Mumbai’s bustle was an opulent celebration of their love, planned and executed immaculately by WeddingSutra Favorites – Zest Events and Samani Decorators. Wedding Venues
Jennita & Nikhil always wanted to celebrate their nuptials with a destination wedding, but with Covid on the cards they changed their plans and instead chose to host a memorable city wedding that was equally grand and luxurious. Guests from across the city converged at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai in Worli for the glamorous Cocktail and Wedding functions, while intimate pre-wedding festivities were hosted at The St. Regis Mumbai.
Wedding Planning
With their dreams of a destination wedding now scrapped, the couple brought on board the team of Zest Events to plan a city wedding that would be just as impressive. Paying meticulous attention to every detail, the team worked tirelessly to ensure the most spectacular and stress-free experience for the bride and groom, and they pulled off an intimate staycation wedding that was brimming with love and laughter which left their guests gushing about it for days to come!
To orchestrate the perfect celebration, they roped in the most talented team of vendors. Samani Decorators designed and executed opulent decor themes for each of their functions keeping the couple’s story in mind through it all. The beauty and expansive space of the venues were utilized to their full potential by having them decked with the most magnificent of flowers, drapes, chandeliers and other elements resulting in an unconventional yet perfectly rooted event.

Wedding Functions
Mehndi
The celebrations began with a vibrant ‘Limoncello-themed’ Mehndi function hosted at the tasteful By The Mekong in The St. Regis Mumbai. Mesmerizing hues of coral blue and yellow brought the iconic spirit of Sicily to Mumbai, with decor brimming with lemons, greens, whimsical prints and elements. The couple’s seating displayed a touch of Sicilian lemons that were adorned with fresh greens on the pillars, elevating the plush royal blue sofa. A guest welcome with ‘The Drum Circle Act’, a memorable molecular mocktail bar and mocktail-making session, a perfume bar, nail art corner, mason jar giveaways and more, that further added to the enjoyment.
Cocktail
Themed as the ‘Tropical Disco’, the cocktail function at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai was a glamorous concoction of exotic forest decor and mind-blowing celebrity performances that came together to light up the night. The splendid evening was bling central with crystals, lush foliage, exotic flowers and neon signs, while motorized disco balls and intelligent lights resembled the magnificence of a starry night. Illusionist Amrut Bhatt had the guests awestruck with his mind-bending tricks, while the tantalizing vocals of Meet Bros and startling bar acts of Flaming Trio had them raging through the night. The ring ceremony was followed by an elegant dinner, after which the DJ had everyone grooving to his beats till dawn.
Haldi
The next day kicked off with a sunny Haldi function at The Zenith in The St. Regis Mumbai for the guests to relax and mingle. Playful decor of kites, umbrellas, marigolds, and cabanas with bright cushions cocooned the lively affair in hues of yellow, while the quirky signage board was a nod to the couple’s personality. An adorable cute cart of colorful goodie bags made for a fun surprise for the guests, next to the funky bar counter serving fresh mocktails!
Wedding
The wedding was a grand affair with striking floral decor and hearty extravagance. Nikhil arrived in a BMW GT accompanied by his energetic baarat, while Jennita walked down the aisle under an opulent ‘Phoolon Ki Chadar’. Swathed in shades of white, the decor was given a hint of rustic elegance with pampas grass and floral arrangements with a delicate gypsy-like allure. A pathway of fairy lights guided the guests towards the mandap composed of lush green foliage, baby’s breath and fairy lights. The newlyweds took their vows under a magnificent chandelier, after which a sumptuous feast was served on aesthetic long tables with floral centerpieces and delicate tableware.
