How We Met
When we met in business school, we started out as friends but in no time that friendship grew and evolved into something special.

Wedding Venue
Jigyasa shares, “We planned the wedding ourselves, and after a lot of research, we zeroed in on The Tamarind Tree in Bangalore as the best wedding venue for us. It has an old world charm, every corner rich with antiques and precious objets d’art, and made for the perfect backdrop to our colorful festivities”.

Wedding Functions

Sangeet
“It was always going to be an intimate affair and we started the festivities with a very private sangeet celebration at the banquet hall in the resort with close family and friends. The décor was simple and romantic – the stage was illuminated, fairy lights everywhere. I’m not into blingy attire so I chose a gorgeous pink chikankari lehenga custom-made at Faaya in Bangalore. I balanced the embellishment on the lehenga with delicate diamond earrings and a maang tikka” shares Jigyasa.

Wedding
“We had traditional South Indian nuptials, so the décor was entirely orange marigolds and gold bells, which beautifully accented the traditional home-style architecture and natural greenery of the property. True to custom, I wore a beautiful Kanjeevaram saree with a gold and pink border that I got from a trip to Kanchipuram. I accessorized with heavy gold jewelry, the customary mogra gajras, and kaleerein to add a touch of funk to the traditional attire. My makeup was kept simple, just a light touch and lipstick for a natural, dewy bridal look.”
