How We Met
“We were introduced in an arranged marriage setup and first met at the Hyatt, Ahmedabad for coffee. Honestly, it was love at first sight. We just fell into it and were so engrossed in each other we nearly walked out without paying the bill! We couldn’t wait to meet again and we did have a couple more coffee dates. Karan didn’t wait longer than that to propose marriage to me on one of our dates, flowers in hand.”
“All of the celebrations were held in Ahmedabad. I’d always wanted to get married in my own home so we hosted all the pre-wedding functions at our farmhouse. The main wedding ceremony was conducted at Nirvana, Ahmedabad and the reception was held at the Blue Lagoon.”
“Shana Namrata events are amazing decorators and they understand client requirements so well. They made my wedding décor look perfect and dreamy. They have classy, elegant tastes and I am glad to have chosen the best for my big day!”
“The ceremonies began with a Gruh Shanti and the mehndi. The Gruh Shanti had a Rajasthani theme. We only had very close friends and family in attendance. The mehndi had Arabic influences with hookahs, dancers, an Arabic DJ and Middle-Eastern cuisine. It was a big hit.”
The haldi ceremony was an intimate affair celebrated only close family and friends. A simple yet colorful setup was created with fresh florals making it an elegant event.
The stage was set and the lighting arrangements brought all the glam to the evening. Every performance that night was entertaining with singer Bhumik Shah mesmerizing everyone. The guests couldn’t stop dancing!
The couple loves the combination of flowers and pastels, and for their big day, it had to be just that! They coordinated their pastel and blush toned outfits. The décor incorporated an abundance of white and pink flowers and looked romantic and whimsical. The bride was resplendent in a Rimple and Harpreet Narula creation and the groom looked every bit as royal in his sherwani.
For the reception, the bride changed into a dazzling Sabyasachi gown. Her make up artist made sure her look was subtle and chic, with an emphasis on the eye makeup. Karan looked suave in his outfit as he complemented his beautiful bride’s gown.
