Karan and Nishika, Angsana Laguna Phuket, Thailand
From an all-white beach party to a reception dominated by regal red, Karan and Nishika's wedding in Phuket offered a heady spectrum of colors, standout decor and fun.
Karan and Nishika’s lavish wedding celebrations were conceptualized and planned by WeddingSutra Favorite – Keeran The Wedding Planner at the lush and sprawling Angsana Laguna Phuket resort in Thailand. Take a peek into their nuptials beautifully captured by another WeddingSutra Favorite Koro Films.
The wedding festivities kicked off with a welcome dinner which was an all-white beach party held in the evening and included some unique decor elements such as fresh flowers arranged artistically in arches, magnificent dreamcatchers, white lanterns, and warm lights. The relaxed, bohemian vibe of the event was a great way for guests to relax and mingle in the beautiful venue.
The mehndi took place outdoors and the decor included Rajasthani elements such as Jaipuri umbrellas, printed fabrics and lots of beautiful decor elements with an authentic, ethnic touch. The pretty umbrellas strung from above added a quirky charm and even the chairs got a vibrant look with printed fabrics covering them. The decor hues of red and orange brightened up the environs of this festive function.
The highlight of the sangeet was the ‘Bombay Broadway’ theme and the color schemes for the decor included royal blue with a touch of gold. The stage and cool lighting arrangements added to the mood of the evening. All the performances for the night were entertaining, and the couple along with their loved ones couldn’t stop dancing till late into the night!
Since the wedding ceremony was taking place outdoors, the couple wanted the mandap decor to blend perfectly with their outfit colors. Hence the color palette for the pheras setup included white and blush tones. A mandap decorated with white drapes and pink and white floral arrangements looked elegant against the picturesque background. The attention to detail that went into the setup was impressive as everything was aligned with the picture they had in mind.
The reception decor was dominated by royal red, from the linens to the stage, flowers, and bar. The couple envisioned the regal impact that red would have as the primary color for the reception, and they were right – the setting was perfect! Glamor, glitz and all things shiny were the order of the evening. The couple looked majestic in their ethereal outfits as they made an appearance as a married couple for the first time.
