How We Met
“We met through family friends in an arranged marriage set-up and got along really well. We became really good friends first and started talking more often. Once, I remember calling Gaurav on his phone, but he wasn’t answering. Being a friend, I assumed he had gone to see more ‘rishtas’ as he told me he would be meeting someone. Little did I know that he was preparing for a surprise for me by shopping for gifts. The next day, he took me out to Shahpur Jat to buy me an outfit for our ‘roka’ (a pre-wedding ritual which is considered as an engagement). It all happened so quickly, but everything fell into place so perfectly!”

Cocktail
“We hosted a glamorous cocktail party at JW Marriott Aerocity whose theme was inspired by vintage glamour and shimmer. I wore a wine colored shimmering saree by Sabyasachi which was same as the one worn by Kim Kardashian on the cover of Vogue magazine. I paired the saree with a diamond set and bangles along with a pair of Gucci ramp wear collection heels which made me look like an absolute showstopper! Gaurav wore a three-piece midnight blue tuxedo by Tom Ford with a Gucci bow and pocket square. The decor was in sync with our theme as it included layers of silver bling, mirror mosaics, vintage luxury furniture and chevron prints. All in all, this was a larger than life celebration!”
Wedding
“The wedding ceremony was hosted at The Leela Ambience Gurgaon. We wanted to create a romantic ambiance for the ceremony. Therefore, we incorporated crisp white and soft pastel pink hues into our decor with some candle lighting. For the traditional ceremony, I wore a pure hand embroidered lehenga by Christina W T. and accessorized my outfit with a Polki set and soft pink ‘chura’ (bridal bangles) set with diamond bangles. Gaurav looked every bit of a royal groom in his Manish Malhotra sherwani.”
