After a long-distance relationship of eight years, Jahan and Kreena's wedding was a celebration of their commitment.

How They Met
The bride shares, “We first met through a mutual friend in June 2011. Jahan and I were in a long-distance relationship as I was in India, and he was based in Canada. He is a lawyer, and I’m a designer, but his love for fashion and style brought us close together. He inspired and helped me to start a fashion blog and enroll in a design school. We are very similar, but still very different in our ways. All these years tested our patience, loyalty, commitment, and much more. Coming from two completely different families, living thousands of miles away from each other, having vastly different career paths and still conquering all the battles that have come our way, this marriage means much more than just living together for the rest of our lives. We have accomplished all that we have in our relationship by trial through fire!”
Wedding Functions
Mehndi
Kreena and Jahan’s wedding festivities began with an intimate mehndi ceremony. For this occasion, the bride wore a traditional outfit with a bright pink and orange ‘bandhni’ (tie-dye) print dupatta. The henna design captured the essence of their story and even had icons denoting Mumbai and Toronto in it.
Engagement & Sangeet
Unlike the mehndi, the ring ceremony-cum-sangeet was a grand affair that was hosted at the World Tower in Lower Parel, Mumbai. For this glitzy evening, the bride wore a pastel lehenga with kundan jewellery and floral elements that accentuated her hairstyle. Jahan opted for a navy blue sherwani. The couple exchanged rings and sealed the deal with a kiss. The engagement was followed by their sangeet, which began with the couple dancing to a romantic number. Many guests and family members also performed on multiple wedding songs turning the evening into a desi dance party!
Wedding
Kreena entered the indoor venue under a floral canopy held aloft by her brothers and male relatives. She danced every step of the way and exchanged a quick hug with Jahan before the ritual commenced. Ditching the traditional red lehenga, Kreena opted for a stunning pink ensemble that complemented her glowing skin. She completed her look with an ornate choker set featuring pastel green enamel which provided a nice contrast. The groom, on the other hand, wore an ivory sherwani with deep red trousers and a velvet shawl.
Reception
After the traditional wedding ceremony, the fashion-forward couple amped up their glam quotient and donned chic outfits for the reception. Jahan looked every bit a dashing gentleman in his black suit while Kreena charmed everyone in a dreamy peach evening gown with tulle and embellished lace accents.
